What do you use to protect furniture when you are moving it yourself? Some family members will be taking antique end tables and coffee tables from my parents' house. The furniture is not particularly fragile, but I would hate to have it get scratched during the 5 hour drive.
I see that U-Haul sells "quilted pads" for $14.95.
But I also see that the Christmas Tree Shop sells blankets for $16.99.
I was thinking of buying blankets for them to use to wrap the furniture. After the trip, assuming the blankets are still in good shape, they can wash them and the use them if they need extra blankets.
Is this a dumb idea?
