We stayed at Windsor Hills in a townhouse on our first family trip last year. I loved it and I think we will probably go back, but I want to explore all options. We paid $118 per night (including all fees/tax) for 3 BR/3Ba and our own little pool. It was awesome being able to park right at our door and I thought the drive to the parks was super easy and close. I would possibly consider a condo building. We might only need 2 BRs next trip.

Any other rental communities or resorts that I should check out before we just continue with another WH trip for 2014? I am just wondering if there is some place else we should consider that is close in price and distance to the park.

The only condo closer would probably be Wyndham Bonnet Creek but I don't know how it compares in price. Lots of Dis posters love it there but it's a lot livelier than WH.

Indian Creek is right next to WH. It isn't gated though and some people prefer gated communities. Windsor Palms is right there also.

You won't find anything closer to Disney with splash pools. You could do a home with a regular pool/spa that would only be a couple of minutes more in Emerald Island and Windsor Palms both of which are gated like WH. We just stayed in a nice 4 bedroom in Indian Creek which is about the same distance as WH (maybe a min. more).
Encantada and Paradise Palms both have townhouses with splash pools but are
about 5 more min. or so further west on 192.
