I was wondering if anyone can tell me the differences between the dedicated and the lockoff 2 bdrm units at vwl are they the same as the ones at okw? If you have a lockoff can you regulate the ac from each bdrm ie: friends like it warm dw and i like it cold can you do that with a dedicated and what is the deal with the 5th floor is it worth it? thanks!

In a VWL lock-off, you have 2 separate rooms, so yes, 2 thermal controllers. ALSO -- you have a queen bed and sleeper sofa in the 2nd bedroom.

In a VWL dedicated 2br, you get the 2 queen beds... and I think it's just the one control. Or at least, I don't recall ever checking more than one dial!

We stayed in a dedicated 2 br at VWL a few weeks ago. There was a thermostat near the entrance to the unit for the master BR and the living area, and a separate thermostat in the 2nd bedroom.

Confirming nancyj's comment...there is a separate thermostat in the second bedroom of the dedicated unit.

The fifth floor has some sloped ceilings that some people like....and also has some "solid" balconies (enclosed) that some like and others hate. I don't know that the 5th floor rooms are a "big deal". And if you want a quiet pool view, that section of VWL only has four floors so you'd knock yourself out of that view if you ask for 5th floor.

Other than that, I think the 2BR dedicated is similar to other resorts like BWV and BCV. The second bedroom doesn't have the refrigerator/microwave that a lock-off unit would have.

When the dedicated 2 bedrooms don't have the mini fridge, do they have an extra closet like the OKW dedicateds?
