Pros and Cons of Quick Service?

We do a blend of both. We don't usually eat a TS meal every day of our trip but close to it. We mix it up with TS meals spreading them out ...... maybe 1 character breakfast, more lunches than dinner as far as TS goes. I don't really like TS meals at night. Our fave QS in Epcot is Mexico, UK for fish and chips (hubby), France bakery and Sunshine Seasons. At AK it is definitely Flame Tree. In MK....my 2nd least fave QS park.... we usually eat at Liberty Tree. HS usually Prime Time. I don't like any QS places there. So we usually always get lunch at Prime Time.

Since you noted you are paying OOP, why not do a blend ? I cannot imagine eating QS food for every meal.

If we are talking DL/DCA QS my answers change 100%
We totally might not be, my bad!! My next trip is to DLR so that's where my brain is. Lol!

ETA when it comes to WDW my answers change as well! Table service only for us in WDW!

We are not on the dining plan so we do a bit of both, but I understand not wanting to be tied down to a TS...We have four TS booked this June, we have Ohana, Via Napoli, Rainforest Café-Breakfast and Olivias..We are thinking of adding Sci-Fi or 50's for lunch at HS but not sure yet as it is our arrival day and I know we will be so excited not sure we want to be tied to a TS..:) Good luck

I should preface this with saying we have eaten at all the "classic, must do" dining locations so it changes things some since there are no must dos any longer.
But we don't do ADR so we aren't tied to anything in regards to TS meals.
When we get to the point where we are ready to eat we pull up MDE and look and see what is available in the next hour or two and book what looks appealing at that moment.
That way, we aren't limited to QS meals and we aren't tied to an ADR till we are ready to eat.
I think many folks may be surprised at how many popular dining choices they'll find last minute.

This is a good point. It goes back to the mindset of having fun without the stress, or the feeling of disappointment that people feel when they can't get the ADR that they are so focussed on. We are new to the whole MDE thing and only experienced it for the first time this past January, but your plan is something I could see ourselves doing.

Of course - there are a handful of TS that we love, and I will always have a few ADRs going into a trip. But we may or not keep the ADR.
