Proposing at Universal?

Hello!

I wanted to get some input on where you guys think would be the best places at the Universal resort to propose. The only real stipulations I have are A) somewhere that is quiet and romantic, maybe somewhere with a view during the sunset, and B) somewhere that is not Harry Potter related. If I can get 3 suggestions, I'd like to scout them out when we get to the resort.

The area behind Mythos is quite pretty, and even during busy times it's usually very quiet/empty.

I don't know whether it has a view of the sunset or not.. sorry!

The concierge can find out sunset locations and may have great suggestions. They are just a phone call away. Even Guest Services at US may be helpful- everyone would love to help!

Maybe somewhere in the old NYC area at the studios side? We strolled through there one evening and I found it very romantic.

The water area at the studios is very pretty too.

Down behind the Jurassic Park science center along the water is a nice area if I'm remembering correctly.

Book the PBH and pull out that sparkler on the boat heading back once you round the bend at night. Every time I see it I marvel at how beautiful it is. Make sure to follow up with a romantic dinner.

I agree! My youngest and I spent some time sitting here just relaxing.

Random: My husband had plans of proposing to me at the Eiffel Tower in Epcot. I love Paris and my trips there are some of my fondest memories. Well, the ring box felt to tight in his jeans and he was nervous, so it happened at Pop Century. Haha. I was rushing him out the door for a dinner reservation and he kept asking me to slow down and wait a minute. It was perfect!

There was (I think they are still in business) called Gifts of a Lifetime would help you plan special events like a proposal in the parks. We used them for birthdays and loved the experience. They are very creative and take care of everything for you.

At Universal Studios, I'd suggest the Central Park area (which is actually in the Hollywood section of the park, near E.T.). It overlooks the lagoon and faces west, so you'd be able to watch the sunset. It's also just a pretty spot in general (lots of big trees), and usually very quiet.

I second this area. We often stop to relax there. Rarely ever see anyone else down there.

Wow, those are a lot of responses haha thanks so much, guys! I have a better idea of places I can scout out now when I go down there. If anyone else has any suggestions, that'd be awesome, and I'll definitely consult with Royal Pacific for any other ideas once I get there... definitely want to keep my options open!

Random, but related: what I kind of wanted to do was to do the thing at the Universal globe... but I'm doing my research and looking at videos with the globe, and there's either loud music or a gazillion people taking photos of and with it, always. I don't imagine there's really a "quiet time" to go to the globe per se, is there?

The globe can often be really busy, but I find that if you go around it (go over the bridge and to the left) it's less busy than e bridge itself. And if it's a really hot day, you'll get the mist from the water

We stayed at RPR a couple of years back, and I think the boat too and from Citywalk was my favourite part! (And getting into Hogsmede early!)
