proposer seeks help

I wish my fiance was as romatic as you! We are getting married in December and he still hasnt officially "popped" the question or given me my ring! LOL

There are so many possibilites at Disney, but to give you some options, you could book a meal at Cinderellas Castle (breakfast is the hardest to get because all the little girls want to eat in the castle with the princess). Breakfast and lunch are both character meals, but dinner would be the most romantic option if you would book it within an hour of the Wishes fireworks show in which case you would be inside the castle during the show! You could get a Cinderellas Glass Slipper and have her ring inside it. Have the waiter/waitress deliver it to her and either pop the question or have it engraved on the slipper.

You could also get down on one knee during the wishes show if you are outside the castle and ask her to make your wish come true by becoming your wife.

You could propose during the "Share a Dream" parade at MK.

or check out www.giftsofalifetime.com They are a website that will set up special things for birthdays, anniversaries, engagements etc. Like a treasure hunt, or a surprise gift.

I copied this directly from their site:

<snip>Once Upon A Dream: The I Love You Event

Many people celebrate birthdays, engagements, anniversaries and honeymoons at the theme parks. Presentations: Gifts of a Lifetime wants to help you keep your visit focused on the wonderful occasion (or person) you are celebrating. Imagine you are at a favorite theme park with your loved one. After disembarking from your favorite attraction you suddenly turn and and magically present her/him with a beautiful bouquet or item of your choice. Our Pixies might even catch that reaction for you to keep forever on film. And the surprises do not have to end there. Our secret little pixies can be almost anywhere and can pop up with surprises whenever you want. Prices for this event vary with the number and type of surprises but begin at $250.00
Say 'will you marry me' in a way that no one else has ever done before. Make your honeymoon even more unique with a special moment created by our Pixies and customized to your new spouse's tastes. Keep your anniversary sizzling with romance with a special "I Love You" event. <snip>

I hope this helps you some! And congrats on being so romantic and thoughtful. She is a lucky woman!

I have to agree, CRT would be perfect for a proposal! Actually, we saw one last week while we had dinner there. They brought out her dessert plate with 'Will You Marry Me?" in chocolate around the edges, with a white choc. slipper filled with berries in the middle of the plate. They video taped it and had pictures taken. It was soooooo romantic. The waitress said something about it being a package, not exaclty sure what she meant though. You could call down and ask them. I could not have imagined a more perfect proposal!!! her ring was also in a glass slipper that a waitress had brough out!!! Priceless!!!! Good Luck!!!!

A friend's daughter was at WDW with her boyfriend, went to the fireworks at the Castle, and right there as the fireworks were going off he proposed on bended knee!

CRT would be an option, just make sure when you kneel down to propose, there isn't any food remains on the floor!

You can fill in the dining staff at any of the restaurants, and I'm sure they'll go along with any plan you have!

I'm sure anywhere you propose to her will be the most romantic, unforgetable night in her life!

Congratulations! Best Wishes!

My fiance also proposed in May 2004 right by Cinderella's Castle during the fireworks. I couldn't imagine a better proposal!

Here's how it happened:
My fiance proposed during Wishes as well. We were on a bridge to the right of the castle (near TomorrowLand) and he had me make a wish (I wished that he would propose, obviously!) and throw a penny in the water just as the music started and when I turned around, he was down on one knee just as the first fireworks were going off and he made my wish come true! This was a great spot because we had enough people around us to clap, but not so many that we felt crowded. Personally, I don't remember the people around us clapping, but my fiance promises they did, I was too distracted by him!

Over the summer I rented the Grand One (the Floridians private Yacht) to take my girlfriend and I out on the lake for dinner during Wishes. Unfortunatly it was a weekend when Florida had a mini hurricane coming through. So instead of the boat Disney set up a private table for the two of us on the concierge level of the Floridian. We had a view of the castle and it was just us and the butler on the floor. They had a band playing downstairs. It was very romantic, like having the Floridian just to ourselves. Needless to say she said yes!

My boyfriend just proposed to me at CRT. It was so awesome. The absolute best moment of my life. He got some kind of proposal package. It included dinner, a beautiful glass slipper, 2 champagne flutes, disney pins and dessert. It was truly magical. They took some very nice photos of us as well. :love2:

My DH proposed at the Poly Luau (before Stitch) 5 years ago. We knew we were getting married on 8-4-01 but he hadn't officially proposed. So on 8-4-00, he made reservations for three ( to include his son, then 10) for the Luau. At the part in the show where they have honeymooners and anniversaries come up and dance to the Hawaiian Wedding song, the mistress of ceremonies, said that someone needed to ask someone something. Well my guy stands up. I kept telling him to sit but the next thing I knew, we were on stage. He dropeed to one knee and popped that wonderful question. I said yes, waiter took lots of pictures with camera left on table and my stepson got to be there for the moment although from the audience so it could still be all about me. DH did a perfect job to accomodate me and his son for that all important moment. And at Disney, I couldn't have asked for anything better. That picture is in our living room still and I love looking at it. DH had called and talked to managment prior to Luau to arrange all the details. Just a different spin on a proposal that to me was just as romantic as the castle. :love2:

Not Disney, but in the same vicinty, and just as magical. I was proposed to at Discovery Cove. There have packages and event managers that help every step of the way.(click here ). He said it was so easy working with them. He planned the whoel thing while oversaes on a military deployment and it went off without a hitch.

Basically, we did the dolphin encounter and at the very end our trainer said, "Well, we reward the dolphins two ways: we either feed them fish or play with their favorite toy. Since we've been feeding them fish all morning, let's go let Cindy bring us one of her favorite toys." She was already at the back of the tank and a trainer was giving her a buoy... nothing to be alarmed about. Next he asked, "Who wants to play fetch with Cindy?" Of course I raised my hand. He pulled me to the front of the group and told me to hol dmy ars out... she would roll the buoy right into my arms. Well, she did just that. Written on the buoy was, "Jill, Let's chase our dreams together. I love you. Will you marry me?" I was completely overwhelmed despite the fact I had dreamed about the exact same scenario a few months in advance (I am very wierd when it comes to that stuff).

Right after I read the buoy

On the beach, there is a real slight of hand pass-off. The event coordinator introduces him/herself and hand you a coupon and explains that you will be receiving xyz number of photos and the VHS video... so it's all on film and tape! It's wonderful to be able to watch. She does this with one hand while he picks up the ring box out of the hand behind her back. So, you, "propose," right there in the sand.

Right after I said, "Yes... now you're really stuck with me."

We were escorted to our private cabana after that... we had a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates, and a dozen red roses. It was so nice to have it as home base. You can see it over my right shoulder in the first picture... we got to watch the dolphins all day. It was so nice.

We were treated like celebrities there, too. All the staff seemed to know... or word travelled fast. Little girls kept coming up and oohhhin and ahhing. One of them said, "Mommy... I want to be engaged." It was a hoot. Poor guy who does end up proposing has some big shoes to fill! It was so nice though. So many of the parents said we just made their daughters' day... and then actually thanked him for his service (he'd only been home 3 days).

I am not trying to persuade you or anything... just wanted to put it out there... seems like many people don't know about the option! He was in contact with someone at Disney to do it at CRT. He was going to have Prince Charming bring the ring out on a covered, silver platter and present it to me. That way, I had two Prince Charmings!

xoxo
