Is this restaurant indeed still there? I thought it had gone.

BTW it is where my husband proposed to me. Romantic, huh? Could have chosen Walts, Blue Lagoon, Calif. Grill - nope. Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet.

Could have been worse, it could have been the Pentagon Car Park, that's where my mate proposed to his girlfriend :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

You poor thing, your in Disneyland and he choose to pop the question to you in Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet. Shame on him, at least you said yes, so the pizza must have been OK.

Outside, in the rain, one knee in a puddle, covered in pizza sauce.

I don't actually remember the pizza! I remember the restaurant was heaving and pandemonium which is why we were outside.

We DID go to California Grill that night, which was fabulous, but I have never quite let him live down his choice of romantic proposal spot!

Now boys and girls this is not related to review of the restaurant :offtopic: ;)
Just moving these to a new thread :thumbsup2

Hello, this is weird, I didn't start this...!

...ah actually I can see why it was moved. sorry.

i'll get me coat

:scared1: No way!! Id be insulted if i was proposed to there.

Guess I can't really say much due to my job and not wanting to offend anyone but they are very much typical of the area if you know what I mean :thumbsup2

I wish I had of thought of proposing in DLRP. I proposed in Brussels after surprising the missus with a day trip on the Eurostar.

What does your job have to do with it Capn? have I missed something?

I have to say, it wouldn't rank highly on my list of 'top romantic destinations'

Poor Mr EK had been trying to arrange a balloon flight for months and months, but it kept getting cancelled due to weather, so eventually at DLP he just took his chance. I think it was more about 'right I've plucked up the courage so I'll just do it' rather than 'ooh look, a pizza restaurant, that'll be a good spot'

I think it's on my profile somewhere.

I'm a Benefits Assessor for Medway Council. I deal with Housing and Council Tax benefits for people on benefits and low incomes.

Ah, I see

I had cause to write a fairly shirty letter to the council the other day. Mr Cooper replied straight away....it was about the parlous state of the black lion!

I used to work for GBC, many years ago - when it still existed!

lol talking of council tax i was meant to pay mine this morning. :lmao:

I still haven't paid mine from the 28th July :cool1:

The Black Lion is in a bit of a mess these days. I dread to think how much it will cost to bring it up to date. Took my boy swimming there about 4 months ago but haven't been back since as I was worried he would catch something in the changing rooms (if you can call them that!)

I havent been to the black lion in years, last time i swear i nearly drowned :rotfl:

I'll stick with the strand :lmao:

Apologies - I'm just going to re-hijack this thread back to it's original theme (well, the one after the first hijack anyway!)

There must be something particularily romantic about puddles at DLP - I ended up proposing to my wife in one as well! Mine however was in the gardens outside the Disneyland Hotel as we came back from a meal at the Steakhouse one night.

There is a lot longer version of this story, in that I had come up with loads of really romantic places I was going to ask her, but every time we reached one, I turned around to find she either was nowhere near me (she'd decided to make a detour to someplace else) or there was a crowd of people around (and she doesn't like being put on the spot in front of lots of people), so I couldn't do it. Eventually after three days of failing to propose, I just decided, what the heck and knelt down on a whim and popped the question - though I got the answer I wanted, the wet knee did take the shine off it a little!
