Not sure where to ask this question but this seemed a good place to start. My friend at work was telling me that her son is planning on proposing to his girlfriend while at DisneyWorld. She knew how much of a Disney nut I am so she asked if there was anywhere she could go to find out if Disney would help her son make this proposal as magical as possible. They are not staying onsite, they have a vacation home they are using, but she thought maybe one of the parks, or a restauraunt would help him out. Does anyone know if there is any place she can contact that might can help them? They will be going to all the sites within the World, so surely there must be something that would help him
Thanks for all the help!

Wow, I remember reading a thread where some guy actually had the proposal setup with the Disney Weddings staff. I'm betting that if he really wants to go all out they could make some sort of private-secluded area for them. If memory serves, they did champagne and then priority viewing for Wishes after he had proposed. Plus, Mickey and Minnie were there in their tux/gown outfits.

This was awhile ago, though. Tell him to call up the wedding people and see what they can do!

Hi...My Fiance proposed to me at The Wedding Pavilion. After calling many Disney reps and being told "No, that can't be done", he finally spoke to a woman who said "Yes! Disney is here to make wishes come true. Anything you can can dream up can be done". So after many phone calls and almost 8 months later, he planned to have the wedding pavilion opened to us exclusively, a photographer to capture the moment, roses, champagne, special music playing in the background, and a signed 8x11 photo of Mickey Mouse (my favorite) wishing us luck.

My advice, don't take no for an answer....Disney really is there to make your dreams come true. The woman who made our dreams come true transferred to another job at Disney but she worked for Disney Event Planning. I would call them. My fiance still won't tell me how much this whole proposal cost, but I am sure they will work with any budget.

Good luck!!

My fiance proposed this past May during Wishes. He asked me to trust him and not ask any questions (which is hard for me sometimes!) and turn to face the water and close my eyes (we were on a bridge). Then he put a penny in my hand and told me to wish for the one thing that I really wanted him to do that week, but I never thought he would, throw it in the water and then turn around. I turned around just as the music started and the first fireworks went off and he asked me to marry him. Tons of people clapped and then we just enjoyed the fireworks with giant smiles on our faces.

YES! - Thats the site I read that proposal thing on. Great stories on that site!

My DH proposed at Disney World in December. He didn't arrange it or anything else, but he did get a CM to take pictures.

We had met on the internet. As we were standing in front of the Partners statue (in front of the castle) (I thought we were posing for a picture and that's it) he turned to me and said "It all started with a mouse." Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

It was so romantic!! And we got some great pictures.

We're going back in October and I can't wait!
