My fiance told me that he had to go to Savage park (where we had a lot of our first dates and our first kiss

) to observe the stream so that he could figure out how to animate water for his game (he's an animator). I didn't want to tag along at first, but he begged me to come along and promised to get me dinner afterward if I came along.
So, I was in a supremely bad mood (not because of this) and just kind of sat in the car in silence while my fiance was jabbering on about his day and the people he talked to and all of that. When we got to the park, my fiance asked me to take him to the spot where we used to hang out. It was pretty crowded that day and he was worried that the spot would be taken, and said he wanted a nice clear shot without half-nude tourists hanging around. I know the park better than he does, and where the good spots are (since none of the good spots have any pathways from the main path).
I climbed down the side off of the main pathway to our old spot, and he followed behind. When we got to the spot, this nice, shady, rocky area that overlooks the widest part of the creek, and he pretended to go over and start observing the water. Unfortunately, there was a fisherman nearby, so my fiance waited for a bit for the fisherman to move (since there are no fish where the guy was anyway Lol), but he got impatient and started anyway.
My fiance started, he grabbed me by the hand and said, "Ok, I have to confess. We aren't here because of my project. I wanted to bring you here because this is a place that represents our past, which is a good place to talk about our future."
Me, being totally oblivious to everything, "Oh. What about?"
Just then, the fisherman gets up from his spot and moves to right smack in front of us. I just stared at him. My fiance gave him the meanest death glare, even cocking his head to the side as if to say "WHAT THE HELL, MAN?!" The fisherman just then realized that he was interrupting something important and scampered off to another nearby area to cast his line.
My fiance turned back to me, "Sorry about that. Ok, before he comes back, I want to show you something that means a lot to my family."
The fisherman comes back AGAIN, awkwardly standing right in front of us, and just looking around nervously totally not sure what to do with himself. My fiance threw his hands up in the air and just grunted loudly. The fisherman quickly ran to an area much further away and cast his line again.
My fiance just sighed really heavily and turned back to me "Aah! I'm nervous, sweaty, and being interrupted when I'm trying to be romantic! I'm really sorry I'm so awkward. I was hoping it would be better than this", he took a deep breath, wiped his face, and pulled a ring box out of his pocket. At this point, I finally realize what's going on, I gasp very loudly, and so much that I choked a little on my spit. Very smooth. My fiance continued after making sure I was ok, "but here, this is something that was passed down from my great grandmother, to her daughter-in-law, my mom-mom, to her daughter-in-law, my mother, and now I'm asking you... will you marry me and take this diamond for your engagement ring?"
He gave me this lovely little diamond. I was so overcome with emotion that I just started tearing up and I couldn't even say anything!
