I have read that Sedesma are not good for trading but what about ProPins? Are they ok? TIA

After doing a search on the web I'm still confused about this. Some people say they are ok to trade and others say to avoid them. :confused3

Please help!

For now, both Propins & Sedesma are 'ok' to trade with CMs, but fellow Guests, as always, are free to trade or not. I personally do not usually like either the ProPins or the Sedesmas - the metal is much thinner, the colors are just painted-on enamel (as opposed to cloisonne or cloisonne-style). Since these pins are of thinner metal, they will break or snap more often than pins bought at Disney outlets - the parks, Disneyshopping.Com & even the (Children's Place-owned) Disney Store.

As long as a metallic pin says "copyright Disney" or "[copyright symbol] Disney" on the back , it is still street-legal for trading with the CMs. Be aware, however, that CMs do not always know the rules and folks here have sometimes run into CMs who have refused ProPins/Sedesma trades.

And WDW is always changing things, so who knows... I'm not sure how they would enforce it, but they could always sever their deal with ProPins and/or Sedesma and drop these specific companies' pins from "allowed-trades".

If you're looking for pins to trade, DisneyShopping sometimes has GREAT sales (sign up for their e-notices) and they will let you stack discount codes. I've gotten Limited Edition pins for about as little as $3 or $4 each sometimes. Also, if there is a Disney Store or a Disney Store Outlet near you, they sometimes have some pins on sale as well.

agnes!

Thank you so much! I was asking b/c I was looking at some lots on ebay and some said they would include ProPins and others made it a point of saying there would be no ProPins in the lot.

I know I'm taking my chances buying a lot but my DDs are just starting to pin trade and I knew this would be a cheap way to get them several to trade before our trip.

The Spain (Sedesma) and German (Propins) are you get what you pay for pin.
I think they are fine if people want to keep them for themselves.
Currently they are tradeable at the parks. But that could change. It may. It may not. But not worth buying any because they are "cheap traders" only to be stuck using them only for push pins on a bulletin board. ;)

Well if they're cute and of DDs fav characters we'll definitely keep them on their bulletin boards. But if we don't like them we'll probably toss them in with the Halloween candy to be given out.

Don't worry though, I know enough now not to trade them in the parks. :thumbsup2
