Property selling out?

After staying in VGF2, I'd rather buy Poly2 anyway, if you want to buy something direct.

Something will be for sale in 2024, including all the resale options, which I would say are the right choice for many.

If you go by current numbers, GFV will sell out by summer in 2023. Sandi would know better than I, but I do believe that RIV started to sell points in April but the first dates were not open to book until December. Using that as an example, it is estimated that new Poly tower should be completed in first quarter of 2024, so points should go on sale around August 2023. At current rate, RIV will not sell out until late 2026.

Thanks, I am interested in VGF because we are a family of 6 and Poly’s current rooms wouldn’t work.

I like Riviera but the resale use restrictions have me concerned it won’t hold value if I decide to sell And/or buy resale to add to my initial purchase.
Just making sure, are you aware of resale? ***edit: I promise I am not always this dumb... you mention resale in the post I replied to...*** If you are worried about the expense of entry into DVC, you can save 10's of thousands going resale. You have a few drawbacks (such as no RIV stays) but all in all, many find it more than worth it.

We just bought 360 points at Beachclub for $140 a point vs $265 direct. ($44,640 savings from direct).

Now dealing with Grand Floridian it will not be as big a difference as it is one of the currently marketed resorts. Resale is around $170 for VGF and direct is $207 without incentives.

If you were interested in the other MK area resorts you could still be saving a bundle.

Thanks for all the feedback and things to think about and monitor.

In defense of the sales agent, she wasn’t applying pressure to make me buy right then and there - I was laying out my timeline and she was giving me some things to consider that I might not be thinking about (and clearly I wasn’t) that could prompt me to move my timeline up if I can.

Yes, they had about a 8 month lead time between opening sale and opening of RIV.

I am expecting we will see something similar with Poly tower.

If VGF starts going faster than they want, they’ll slow it down with fewer incentives so they don’t have a big gap between the two.
