I just ran the WDW 1/2 in 2:57. I am signing up for the DL 1/2 today- and my question is whether or not I should put my time down. I plan to run at least a 10K between now and their time deadline that will be a faster pace. Should I put the one I have in and update it later? Or will they not pay attention to another time so would I be better off leaving it blank and adding a new time later?? Thanks!

Personally I would put a time down in case something happens withe the 10k so you have some sort of security to fall back on. When I signed up for the DDD last week via the AP registration I put down a 10k time that was slow and that I know puts me in the second to last corral (here me out in a sec). However I have a 10k in a month with a strict time requirement that should move me out of that corral. By putting down a time requirement your at least guaranteed that you won't be in the very last corral because that is the corral where they put the runners who have no proof of time and have not run Disney at all (I didn't put proof of time down at registration for Tinker Bell and didn't submit a proof of time later on, I think the only thing that kept me out of F and in E was the fact that I was a legacy runner and had run both other Tinker Bells and thus had recorded times with Disney). And with a sub 3:00 half you should be a couple of corrals up from the back corral I would guess at minimum.

YES. Put your time down and sign up for your 10K. When you get the 10K email it to runDisney and they can update you in the system. As StarGirl11 says, it seems like a good insurance policy in case something goes wrong with your 10K.

Good luck!

Yes! Put it in! You can always update it later, so there is no downside in putting in a proof of time now. I have updated my proof of time for almost every rD race I've done (I've got a streak of PRs at my local HM which is in October) and it has always been no hassle.

Thank you both! That's what I thought- just wanted to be sure :)
