If anyone is shopping for Prom dresses, Dillard's has some really great sales. They had a whole section of discounted dresses. We also went to a Dillard's about 25 miles away, and they also had the deals, so maybe they have the same in most stores.

I seen some as low as $35. My DD found one that she chose for $69!

We found her shoes and purse (1/2 off) at Sears.

So here's my Prom bargains so far:

Dress: $69 (Dillard's)
Shoes: $25 (Sears)
Purse: $8 (Sears)

I just bought my prom dress online. It's black, classy and elegant. It's form fitting and makes me feel glamorous! I spent endless hours searching in stores, than finally just bought one online because I wanted it to be unique and not the standard poofy dress that I see everywhere.

I know there's a huge variety in quality in thrift stores, but I have seen gorgeous dresses at Goodwill and Salvation Army lately.

They're a bit more than usual thrift shop prices ($20-40), but alot new with tags on them, and yes, of a variety I've in in prom pictures of friends' kids lately. Might be worth a look anyway!
