Hi all,
When he was previously asked.... It was spelled out in sushi rolls because he really likes sushi. We'll, be dining at a tutto Italia and we were trying to come up with something nice. Maybe have it written on the desert plate or something? I thought this group could do better than that.
Thanks in advance for your ideas...

As an old guy, and I realize this is off the specific topic, but these days will girls actually turn guys down for prom dates because their proposal wasn't clever enough? In my day, it was tough enough just to work up the nerve to ask, apart from making a unique project out of it. (It was so much easier for the guys who had long-term girlfriends. I'm not sure they even needed to ask.)I'm still confused. They are not dating, will go as friends to prom but looking for big production to ask a friend to prom? Isn't prom expensive enough without adding all the fanfare! So glad I am old and don't have to deal![]()
I would think if they are close enough to go on vacation together, going to prom together would be a given.... I'm confused too.

I am confused too.. I just had to throw that in there. I think I am mostly confused about the parents' involvement in the kid's life to this degree.
I hope this stuff turns around by the time my kids are teenagers, because I don't have the energy for this nonsense.![]()
I think you mean " Will You Go To Prom With Me?"You could order a cake from Disney with "Will You Marry Me?". I believe this is still the info for doing that:
Tutto Italia & Via Napoli — 407-560-8040
- 6-inch $23 cake in all-chocolate or all-vanilla
- 8-inch $32 cake in tiramisu, chocolate mousse or strawberry shortcake
- 10-inch $45 cake, same options as 8-inch
- Larger cakes: $10/person
- No screen prints available
I think you are all overthinking this. MY DD is 19. It was very simple. Her DB just said Will you go to Prom with me. She said I would really like that.
On any of the rides that take your photo (Splash, Space Mtn, Test Track, RnRR, Dinosaur, etc.) have someone sitting behind her hold up a sign that says "Will you go to prom with ___?" and perhaps he can pose with a big grin or point to himself or something similarly cute. If it's a noisy enough & roomy enough ride (like Dinosaur), he might be able to do the paper holding himself without her noticing what's up.
Then when they get off the ride, go look at the picture.
Maybe get in the habit of checking out the pictures for a few rides (without the proposal) so that it will be a real surprise the time he does ask.
