Project Runway Season Seven

Okay, I know I'm late with this but . . .

They had TEN collections show at Bryant Park last Friday?!?!?!?!?

Really?

That's seven decoys!

Wasn't the part of making it to the finals that was "special" that they got to show at Bryant Park?

Doesn't that diminish the accomplishment of the finalists?

I'm not even sure who I'm rooting for this season yet! :rotfl: (though I do like Jesse and Ben, the two local guys competing.)

Yeah I take issue with that as well. I understand the decoy aspect, but 7 of them now? Hell don't they start off with only 12 contestants? So now 10 get to show in Bryant Park? I just don't get it.

But, I have to say that it only took me minutes to find a blog that shows the entire 10 finalists collections. I really don't care about the surprise element. :) I'm pretty impressed with what they've done though.

They started with 16 this season. But still. Over half get to show at Bryant Park?

That said, yeah the collections look really good. There isn't really one that I looked at and went "that one is obviously a decoy".

Um, who said it was ok for Project Runway to be a repeat this week?!

I don't watch much tv. In fact, I gave up my television and only watch a few shows over the internet. So when a tv show that I watch goes into rerun mode after only three f$%^ing episodes, I get rather pissed off.

Rob: I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I learned that Jesse was not uber gay. He's so yummy <sigh>

One thing that is nice about this current season is that there doesn't seem to be a clear front runner or two in this crop of contestants. At this point it could be anybody's game which makes it all the more enjoyable to watch.

TV Viewing confession. I didn't know what to watch tonight at 10pm. Runway is my go-to show.... but New York Housewives starts up again tonight!!!

Fortunately the Housewives will repeat at 11pm so I can still watch both.

Why oh why did Runway have to leave Bravo?!

Hey, folks! If I'm not being too presumptuous (took me four tries to type that, I can't eat anything after 9 so I'm trying to type around my dinner ;))... we've got a relatively active Project Runway thread over on the Community Board http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2365106 - come join us! No spoilers, please, but we've agreed it's okay to discuss an episode after it airs on the East Coast, with DISers in other time zones knowing to stay away ;) until they've seen the episode.

Come on in!

Ronda

WHAT?!?!?!?!?

The judges are on crack!:headache:

Yes, Jay's trashbag and masking tape outfit was good, but OMG! Maya's look was amazing! Loved the key necklace!

And Emilio! What the? That was AWFUL! And did he even bother making an accessory for that monstrosity? He so should have been gone. He owes everything to Holly. If she hadn't rocked the runway he'd have been gone. (Not to mention what a good sport she was to even wear it)

I'm very bummed that Jessie got sent home. I thought it was a cute look. The best on the runway? No. But certainly not the worst.

I have to say that I thought Amy's sandpaper dress and Jonathan's asymetrical copper dress were better than Mila's paint tray dress. And she definitlely needs to let go of the black and white color blocking. She's a one trick pony at this point.

And then he kicks her to the curb? OMG! What a tool!

I hope he goes home next week!

Not to take anything away from Jay's jeans which did look AMAZING... I too thought for sure Maya was going to win. She is slowly becoming my favorite.

I also agree about Jesse. Heck, even Tim was shocked! And, isn't there a longstanding Runway tradition that when they auf a cute boy, they show him shirtless during the episode of the aufing?! What happened with Jesse?!

I do not understand what the Judges see in Mila.

Oh wow... sounds like I need to make sure to watch that model show episode so that I can get my hate on for Mr. Washer Bikini! I *hate* when they switch their models under those circumstances!

Who's model did he take?

I'm not sure what it was about last nights episode, but there really wasn't ONE outfit that I truly liked. There were three that were good, giving the circumstances of what they had to do, but for me overall, I wasn't impressed. Then again, I've never been a fan out of the "make something out of trash, paper, flowers" sort of shows.

Oh and Emilio's outfit? Seriously looked like something you would see at a strip club.

If I had ever stepped foot in one........

Was it just me when I got the impression that Tim almost gave Jesse a kiss in addition to the hug as they were saying good-bye? I got the distinct impression that Tim was not happy about Jesse leaving.

I read Tim's blog this morning.

He pointedly mentions in it that Emilio did NOT create an accessory, which was a requirement of the challenge.

Jesse did. AND the judges said they liked it.

Then they eliminated Jesse over Emilio? Total Bull!

No accessory?! He didn't complete the challenge. Boooo!! I agree Rob, utter b.s.

I guess this means I have to start to have lustful thoughts about Jay now that Jesse is out of the picture.

I have to go read Tim's blog now but since someone mentioned lustful thoughts, I just wanted to put a :lovestruc in for Jonathan.

I think the judges saw more "potential" from Emilio since most of his garments so far have been good, if not very good. You've gotta admit.....Jesse's dress (as Tim said) did actually kind of look like a grade school craft project gone bad. I think if Emilio had planned better and had all of the washers he needed his bathing suit would've been less "stripper" and a lot more fashion forward with a retro 60's flair.

Just watched this weeks episode on the DVR. (we went to see the worlds WORST community theatre production of Steel Magnolias on Thursday night.)

Wow. What a boring episode. No drama, nothing particularly funny. The looks were all pretty much just a yawn.

I did love Jonathan's winning look. So at least the judges laid off the crack pipe for the judging this week.

Hope next week is more fun. Or at lest less dull.
