Project Gutenberg and Kindle

I have never heard of it but I am definitely going to check it out. Thanks for the tip!

Throughout the pandemic when the NYPL was closed to physical visits, dusted off the Kindle (also laptop and cell phone) and began loading books via its website; great resource. Also the Amazon site but to date haven’t used Project Gutenberg. Must say it has a treasure trove of classic titles and I’ll be sure to use the site when the library’s books aren’t available. Great resource when physical books aren’t practical.😎

Thank you for reminding me about this app. I've used it in the past, but not recently. I just downloaded it to my new tablet.

I read more on my tablet than from paper books. I can read outside in the summer until all hours on my tablet, but would need to turn on a light if I had a book. I also can read in my family room without turning on a lamp so others can watch TV.

Someone who is a contributor of Project Gutenbeg after reading one of my books offered to edit it for free cause she liked it.
Was very nice of her. Never knew I could even get their books on kindle. Have to check it out.
