Once everything calms down, if any of you find that you ordered more than one, before you cancel the extra books, I'd post it here or on the sticky b/c some might have given up & decided not to order b/c of all the waiting & getting kciked out.

Also, I was on Becky's blog & many who have ordered the KOTM before said, it will show $0.00 on the receipt until they charge your account (it is shipping). Also, that you don't always receive an email confirmation even if your order went through. & Lastly, all of this is very common w/ the CK site when they do new releases of the KOTM & registration for scrap weekends, etc. So, all the drama seems to be normal when dealing w/ CK.

Well, it certainly seems like they need to re-do their site (server?? whatever the right word is!) They are going to have such a mess on their hands the next few days. I wonder why they didn't do pre-orders for this? If this is set up to be a year project, you'd think it would be best to have it now -- not potentially 4 - 6 weeks from now. I think it will be hard to keep up without actually having the kit.

I just wish I could figure out whether or not my order went through. I tried the order tracking link but that doesn't work. I looked all over the site and can't seem to find it.

I really like the look of the digital on my computer screen. Does it print out as nice as it looks?



Here is February's layout pieces - all the mats are double sided, so I'll be using prints & solids as needed.

I got 2 confirmation emails - one immediately and one an hour later. The same order number is on both so I know I didn't get charged for 2. The second email was mostly the same, except it says my item is being shipped with UPS Ground.

123SA - Did you try calling customer service? I'm sure they were busy all morning but maybe by know things have calmed down. Or maybe not.

I really like the place I use, I have done 2 orders with them with both the very basic paper and then the heavier cardstock. can't really complain about either. the first paper is definently flimsy and has a white border around it but since it's just for my own albums, it didn't bother me. the next order was on the heavier cardstock and it was "borderless" which was nice. (honestly, only ordered because they were having a sale so it was 99cents for a grade up ) nice quality. maggie

Well I had been on the edge of wether I wanted to call or use my own stuff but since they are now out of stock I am going to use my own things. I either do what AWM and Nancy are doing or I will use baseball card holders. I will probably take me another few days to figure out what I want to do. I could use lots of my scraps in the baseball card holders though.

OK, this is the first day I have had time to spend on Dis for more than a few seconds in a long, loooooong time! Wish I had seen this earlier, but didn't. I think it sounds like a neat idea and would like to try it. Obviously, it's too late to order the kit.

I'm thinking I would be interested in trying the digital ideas for this. For those of you who are doing it digitally, are you then going to one of the online sites to order the end product in a year, or how are you printing? I need to find some good sites to go to to try it digitally. The only thing I've ever done is Shutterfly albums. Those of you doing it digitally, please keep posting on what kits you are using.

I also love the idea of starting out with a sunrise on the first day and sunset on the last day of the year, but I went to bed shortly before sunrise, and missed it. On the other hand, it's cloudy here so I don't think I missed anything here!

Well, I was purposely out when the kits went on sale so I wouldn't be tempted. We took the kids to breakfast then went to Target and a couple other places. The more I thought about it the more I didn't want to use the kit but I DID want to do the project. So instead of ordering from Becky, I ordered these page protectors :

I like the idea of the 3-ring binder (I use the We R Memory Keeper albums for my everyday books) and having 12 spaces for the week. I started today and took a picture of DH & the kids and I have a small notebook where I will do my journaling until I can actually put it in the album. Right now I am thinking that I will go to Walmart once a week and print out my photos. I did that today so I already have one photo! I also tried to print 4 photos on one 4x6 and I like the way it came out - that way I can kinda "cheat" and have more than one photo for a day. And with 12 spaces for the 7 days I can indulge with more photos or more journaling. I am REALLY excited about this project and hope that I can stick with it!!

I slept in- went to bed about 4:30 lol, and didn't try to order until about 1:30. I really wasn't hopeful, but thought I'd try it. The site was slow. There was nothing about it being on back order and I have received 2 emails. The first was a confirmation. The second said the same info and that it will be shipping UPS. Now I'm reading all of these problems......Hopefully we will get them soon.
I called the customer service number. It said they are closed until tomorrow and gave another number for orders. That number never went through for me.
I am excited about this, but think it will be easier for me to actually stay on track if I have the kit! Ya'll are coming up with some great ideas for alternatives to the kit. Thanks for sharing them!

Well, I still can't see very well after my eye surgery - good thing I'm a good typer and don't have to look at the keys! - so I was awake when they went on sale, but in a very bad mood. I'm sad that I missed them, but not sad that I missed the craziness that getting one entailed. I really thought this was a good idea, but don't think I'll be doing it all on my own. I guess I'll save some money that way tho - $35 for the book and $35 on extra pictures... Good luck to all of you!

I didn't get a 2nd email. I sat on hold for 1/2 hour before I gave up.

If any of you weren't able to get the kit, post on the thread & see if anyone got two. The CK server was acting up during all of the craziness. Some people are sure right now exactly how many they got. I know someone on here received 3 confirmations w/ different order numbers. All is not lost.

Jill - do you have an item # or something for the page protectors? I can't find them on the site. Also, If you are planning on journaling & including a photo for each day, you'ld need 14 spaces for the week. Unless you add to journaling entries for one slot, etc. LOL

I am still trying to confirm whether or not I got one. If I didn't, I would happily buy one of the extras. From reading the blog, a number of people got the same kind of email I did, but later they got a more descripitive confirmation. I didn't get that one and my credit card has not been charged.
