Thanks for the sticky!

I started Monday so I'm going Monday-Sunday. I'm doing my journalling on paper for now until the kit comes, then I plan on doing the journalling right on the cards every day, putting them into the album and printing the pictures later. I only print pictures when there's a sale, so I will just do that probably once a month or so. My computer date stamps everything when I upload so I don't have to worry about keeping track of what picture is when.

Ok, off to work on more template ideas.. I have cut pieces and am working them in different ways for a traditional 365 book.. the only thing that doesn't move is the "Week of" title bar!

How about a weekly theme for a few pages.

Like it's 5 o'clock somewhere. Take a pic of what you are doing at 5pm or am every day for a week.

Do we want to start an idea thread that we can link from the first post? Just a list of ideas, no chatter.

I had a professor in college who's wife didn't cook very often. He bought her Christmas present in September and hid it in the oven. She found it in December. She complained about him putting it there until he let her know it had been there for 3 months before she found it.

He was a great professor but definately did some crazy things. He locked the tv in the closet for 8 years when his boys were young becuase they were fighting about what to watch.

DH could have done that and not pulled it out for Christmas, and I probably STILL would not have found it!

SIOH - my pic today was my kitty warming himself on the radiator! No sun here but a similar idea!

Well, I have never cleaned my oven and we've had it for a couple years. But considering how infrequently it gets used I think once every 10 years woud be the proper schedule for me.

Seems like that's a great schedule for my oven, too! And don't you love the kitty pics?!? Last year, it was really cold here, and we couldn't figure out why we couldn't keep the living room warm. Then, we realized that my cat was sleeping on the heater vent ALL DAY and blocking the warm air!!

LOL!!!

If it wasn't for the fact I had spilled stuff in it over Christmas Eve.. it still would not have been cleaned!

See, if you just don't use it, no danger of spilling stuff in it!!

Hey I like the weekly theme idea. For each kid, I could make it all about them the week of their birthday.

Also, maybe once a month a photo of all 3 kids in the same spot to see how much they are growing.

I haven't totally figured out how I am going to do this.... I am not going to buy the kit. But I will continue to think about how I want this to work. I am starting January 1. Maybe I will take my first photo right after midnight (if we stay awake that long...

I looked around a bit today at what is available for divded page protectors and I didn't find anything suitable. I found a few types at Staples.... they had the trading card pockets (2 x 3 openings) and some photo pages with 4 x 6 openings but I didn't like them. I will look around a bit longer before I decide how I am going to do this thing.

Anyone else making their own kit and want to share ideas?...........P

I am so excited to start this. Any idea when it will arrive if we order it on
Jan 1st? I am going to have my alarm set so I remember to order at exactly 9AM MST.

I think I need to invest in some sort of notebook/calendar too.

Originally I posted that todays pic would be of DS scrapping a few pages for his scrapbook before baby bro gets here. Well, I never pulled any of my scrap stuff out. He wanted to look at his baby book & there is a pic of my belly right before he arrived. I asked him if I was that big this time & he wrapped his arms around my belly & said "MaMa, your huge" So I snapped a pic of the babybook in my lap w/ the pic showing, my current belly & his arms/hands on my belly. So neat. I would never have taken a pic like that before & it was such a special moment. I think I'm gonna love this project.

Well, I have to make this as "Debbie" friendly as possible. I was thinking of post it notes in my planner...but then I'm copying it over, and I know that I won't keep up with that. Maybe punching holes and using a ring to attach together the journal cards? But then I'm messing up journal cards on the fly?

Okay Ive decided how Im going to work it...

I will be doing it Disney style- BUT its not limited to the parks so on my days off it can be pictures of disney pins, stuff thats important

If I miss a day I will allow "Memory" days where I can add one of my favorite pics Ive taken BUT those require journaling

The rest I wont require myself to journal (I HATE that part)

The only other part Im deciding on is whether to add my blog into it and put the pictures up on a daily/weekly basis...

Im pretty sure picture #1 will be of the fireworks tonight at Studios

I think i'm to try this but i'm not going to buy the kit. I like Nicurn's link to the template & i've thinking of different things to do with this project. I plan to start yesterday as I made an anniversary card for my daughter and today we're going out to dinner and I'll use a few filler things so that next week will be week 2.

I think I am going to try to do this, sounds like so much fun. Hopefully seeng everyone's work and sharing my own will keep me motivated to remember! I'm starting tomorrow.
