I applied for a position as a claims rep with progressive Insurance in my area. I haven't heard anything but am hopeful, I think I'd be perfect for the job. I am looking for anyone that has any input to give about the company.

Does anyone have their insurance for progressive and have had any good or bad experiences with them?

Also, does anyone work for progressive and could give me an insite to the company??

Thanks!

I have had Progressive insurance since High School when I wrecked two cars. They have nice cheap rates.

Good Luck with the job! :)

i had progressive before i got married. One thing I didn't like was my rates didn't change after my accident was off my record. I would have looked into it futher at renewal time but they wouldn't accept my DH so it was cheaper to switch

DMickey28....my ds also applied with them. Well, I think he did. He was telling me that it sounded like something interesting. He went to a Job Fair in Worcester yesterday. He had hoped to talk to the Progressive people, but they hadn't arrived. Good luck. I'll post if he hears anything.

Thank you for the responses, keep 'em coming! :)

Goofy4tink~ I just applied online and called the main number in Ohio to get the phone number of the New England recruiter... I have left her a few voicemails and will continue on that track for a few weeks! :) I wish your son good luck as well!

I know they keep building more huge buildings here in Cleveland, so they must be doing well financially (that, or they're overextending themselves :p :p ).

my grandmother had them for sixty years
she had an accident a couple of years ago and they cancelled her
granted it was a $10,000 accident but 60 yrs of premiums
I don't know that left a sour taste in my mouth
she is with a different carrier now and hasn't had a claim since

They recently closed a claims office in town here in mid 2002. They moved most folks to an Albany office, but they then moved most of the jobs out of that one too. The county was upset as they had given grants for them to locate there.

We refer people who have "less than stellar" driving records to Progressive and they seem to be able to help them.

Steve is right. Progressive has just about taken over all of the office space in Highland Heights (around the corner from where I work). I'm surprised that they haven't renamed our street Progressive Drive. They must be doing OK.

Sorry that I don't personally know anyone who works for Progressive. I just know that they are all rotten drivers who probably get their insurance very cheaply. Either that or they are trying to drum up business. :)

Good luck!!!
