Progress: Flocking Flock Swap - Check-In March 1, Due March 7

Check in for Feb 2 -- I finished my last group. I plan to mail these when I mail the DHS swap back, but will post when I do.

Just wanted to pop in and offer to be an angel if anyone needs one; now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Here is my last one --for the girl group

Signage I guess. The heart is flocked. If this is not what you have in mind, please let me know. I can use it for the calendar swap instead.

Nope, is good. Like I told, AWM in a PM...I didn't specify how much needs to be flocked, just that something needs to be flocked. Basically,

1. Do you like it and would you use it in your books?
2. Do you think other people would like it and use it in their books?
3. Did you use flock?
4. Did you try to follow the size/embellishment guidelines, and/or make it special in some way?

If you can answer YES, then you are good.

This is the type of thing, I would definitely use. I squish lots of photos per page, so I normally end up with small-med squares or rectangles that I am looking to fill in. So something like that is perfect for me. It's double matted, it is embellished in the corners.

Here is my checkin for 2/2.
I have finished my caterpillars for the boy group

I learned that if you use two different colors at the same time, you better find a way to use the mixed color because you can not put it back in a bottle. That is why some of the caterpillars are two distinct colors and others are a color and a mixture. I put them on the leaf because I didn't like them just by themselves for a paper piecing. Oh and you can't see it, but the legs & antenna are stickled.

I have marked everyone that has posted with a comment about their progress since 1/28 as "checked in." If your name isn't in orange yet, please check in now.

My progress...I am concentrating on the Paper Piecing swap at the moment. So the only thing I have done so far is bounce ideas around in my head.

Love the caterpillers, AWM!

Tora will love that girly one and Kicky has already asked if he can have the ceterpillar. :goodvibes That is so imaginative!

I've got 3 groups finished (elephants, zebras, and Winnie the Pooh). I had hoped to get the others done this weekend, but my MIL is here and she's in my scraproom which makes it hard for me to get in there!!!! She leaves this morning so hopefully I can get more done on this swap this afternoon.

Almost done with my gingerbread houses and have the Frankenstein group 1/2 done. If everything goes well, I should be done with them today and ready to mail out this week.

ToraUK has finished hers so I'll be mailing Thursday (but it will be all ready before in case DH fancies a walk to the PO ;) )

Here is my girl group
Two of the butterflies have traditional flocking, the other is flocked/velvet paper. The mats are triple matted, one layer is the velvet paper and they are all inked, though it is hard to see.

Checking In...... I'm finally able to experiment a little and have been working on a Pluto for the characters group and thinking about a snail for the animals group. When I get it figured out, I'll post for sure.

I picked up my flock on Friday for my groups. As soon as I finish the baby book I am working on (has to be done this Saturday), I will start these!

Tora will love those AWM:goodvibes

ETA DH took the envelope to the PO today, but it was closed because of all the snow (staff couldn't get in, I presume).

I have my things designed. I plan on cutting them tomorrow and Thursday.
