I'm starting to work on all the last little details of my wedding and have gotten sort of stuck on the program wording. I am wondering if I should just put all the names of the bridal party or include songs being played or what. We're not doing a religious ceremony so I don't really need any explanations for what's going on. What did everyone put on their programs?

Bump

I'm curious too. Our DFTW is still 14 months away but I'd still love to see examples ahead of time :thumbsup2

Even if you don't need to explain the ceremony, it's nice to have an outline in the program that people can follow along to keep them alert and interested.

Ours had the order of the service, starting with the entrances of the bridal party. It listed their names and the name of the song being played, because the music was an integral part of the ceremony.

The other side of the program had the words to a favorite hymn—you could do a song or a poem or a quote from a book that has significance to you. And then at the bottom we had a little thank-you note to our guests to tell them how much we appreciated their coming all the way across the country for our wedding. At the very bottom was a note not to wander off afterward cuz we were doing group photos. This worked *too* well, as everyone sat back down like obedient school kids and then stared at us like, "OK, so.... what's next?" :rotfl:

I am making mine out of Mickey Head and using it as a fan.

I was just very basic, names of wedding party, pastor, short thank-you, and time line of events.

I really love your programmes!!!
Can I just point out (and I hope I don't offend you) that in this context, your thank you message should read 'thank you so much for being a part of this special day' rather than apart. Apart is used as in 'My new shoes fell apart' or 'He sat apart from the rest of his crowd'
I hope you don't mind my pointing this out, but they are such pretty programmes that they deserve to be perfect!!! ;)
