I had been thinking about getting PhotoShop Elements (not sure which version) for scrapbooking. Does anyone know if this or another program will remove facial shine?
I think I know what you're talking about. Sometimes when you take a picture of someone for some reason (moist skin, the way the flash reflects off their skin) you get what appears as "shiny spots" on the picture.
Alas, I do not know of any editing software that can remove that or the sometimes glare of someone wearing glasses.
If there is something I hope we both find out!
In PSE I've used the clone stamp and healing brush with some success. Kind of depends on how large the shiny area is--it's mostly just noses and foreheads.

That's why the only thing that's worked for me is the healing brush or clone stamp. If the shiny area is large, it's difficult to make it look natural, so it doesn't work very well on close ups, although someone with more advanced PS skills could no doubt do a better job than I.
I love my BE!! I keep waiting for my skin to dry up too!! You'd think that once a woman was past 40 God would give a little and lighten up on the "shine" factor!!! But noooooo --- it's like puberty all over, only on the down hill side!!!
Blessings and pass the Mineral Veil!!
