Program for Digital Scrapbooking

I have a lot of digital kits, but I don't have a program to make my pages. Anyone know of some good programs that I could look into?

I am new to digital scrapbooking, but after lurking on these boards for a while I purchased Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus. It is a very easy program to use, but still has tons of great features. I wanted something that I would just be able to play with and learn easily. Here is a link to a thread all about this program. You can’t go wrong with Photoshop Elements. Most of the kits out there are created to use in Elements. There are tons of newsletters and free tutorials on line. Elements also comes with it’s own great tutorials. Not to mention, It’s also a great photo editing software.

I use Photoshop CS4 but it has a big learning curve, a lot of things you'd never use, and a big price tag - Photoshop Elements has everything you'd need for a much cheaper price. Like the PP said, there are great tutorials on-line for Elements, too. I looked into the CM digital program but my CMC told me you have to use their kits and cannot import embellishments, papers, and other freebies (or purchases) you find on-line - correct me if I'm wrong, I only know what she told me and I've never used the program.

I use Creative Memories Storybook Plus 3.0, love all the options.

Another option is ACDSee Photo Editor. It is very similar to PSE but IMHO it is easier to use and less expensive- two big pluses in my book!
I switch between CS2 and ACDsee Photo Editor 2008. I like some of the more powerful applications on CS2.

But for an easy to use, inexpensive software, I love PE 2008.

If you are going to digi-scrapping, the way to go is with a decent editing program. Too soon, ya get addicted and want to be able to do more. LOL

Photo Editor has some really awesome features including the ability to use psd templates, abr brush files, text on a path/in a shape.
It uses layers like PSE but I find it much easier to work with them.

Photo Manager makes my life so much easier- I can actually keep track of the kits I have bought and it gives me more time to scrap, instead of searching for that paper/element I know I have *somewhere*

I personally use Photoshop Elements 6. There was a learning curve involved but after completing a few tutorials, I was amazed at everything you can do with this software. It is also a GREAT photo editing program. It has saved quite a few of my photos from being deleted. I'm in love with it now.

I use ACDSee Photo Manager to organize all my digital kits. I don't know how I would be able to digi-scrap without it.

Another vote for Creative Memories' Storybook Creator plus! After playing around with a couple of different digital programs I have found this one to be the most intuitive and user friendly. It provides a lot of flexibility in that you are not limited just to Creative memories products. Good luck on your search!

Another vote for Photoshop CS2, 3, or 4. It has a steep learning curve and is expensive, but wow! Photoshop Elements is also good.

Photoshop Elements is AWESOME for digital scrapbooking! I especially love all the effects, you can make the coolest wordart out of plain text.

I use Photoshop Elements 5. I was confused at first, but love to use it now that I've learned more about it. I know the basics, and want to learn some of the more advanced techniques. I really like the program overall.

Hi! You can use non-CM kits in Storybook Creator. If your CMC told you that then she does not digiscrap very much or she doesn't want to lose business to the deigners on internet. They just released the newest upgrade and the program is just incredible. If you click on my Disney Layouts in my signature - you can see what i have done with the program. There are some incredible DIS Digi-Scrappers that only use this program too.

I LOVE photoshop elements! I haven't used any other program, but I really love what I can do...I didn't think I would like digi scrapping, but I fell in love with it and am now fully addicted!!

I am so glad that someone mentioned CS3, I just got it put on my computer and I have not even opened it yet, I am hoping to find a book for dummies on it to help me. The most that I have done is a shutterfly book online using their pages...Wish me luck guys!
