Profile etc....

I was wondering if someone could help me here...........


I had trouble signing up originally as I'm from Australia & I could not enter my full e-mail address, then I was blocked from the boards as my e-mail was invalid........thanks to a friend we got that one fixed up..

Now I would like to make some changes to my profile & put a siggy pic in etc, but everytime I try to do something I get a message saying Invalid E-mail.........to please enter a valid e-mail address & try again.

Also I would like to accept e-mails from the boards too, one more thing I can't do............

Please help me here........

We can make the changes to your profile for you, but as long as you're using that email address, there's nothing we can do about getting emails from the boards.

I would suggest setting up an email account at yahoo or someplace like that. I don't think you can forward it to your regular email, you would have to check that account, but it would allow you to change your profile and get email from the DIS.

Also, Birthdate 14th July, but not the year...............


If I get a Yahoo e-mail, will that solve the problem of e-mails from the boards?

Another thing too, I am hoping to get my own website one of these days & would like to post pics on the threads when I do...........will I be able to do that or will be out for me too...

It's a bummer living in Australia & being a member of the Dis......... Nothing will work because of my e-mail.......

I *think* it would solve your problems, Nutsy.

You would set up an account at www.yahoo.com Be sure and read the information. If you don't uncheck one of the boxes it will automatically install itself as your default email and I doubt you want to do that.

Then you could use the yahoo account for all DIS stuff. I know yahoo accepts email from the DIS. It would also allow you to freely change any of your DIS info including your signature.

I went ahead and changed your info. If you'll have Kama post a link to your signature picture here, I can add that too.

OK. You're all set now, except for the email notifications. Be sure and check show signature next time you post. It's at the bottom of the posting box. After that, it should appear automatically.
