Professional Pictures at Disney World?

I know all about Photo Pass from last year when we were at DW. However, I have read that you can also have professional pictures taken at the resorts, through the same people who do Photo Pass. And I thought this would be cool to do for Family Christmas pictures, since we will be there from Nov 8-15.

I contacted DW and they gave me the number for Photo Pass to contact them for the details, so I'll do that soon. But I was wondering if anyone on here has ever done this in the past? Was it worth the money that you spent? And what experiences with it did you have?

Thanks,
Cindy

There is a whole thread on this subject over on the Resort Photos board. Here is the link:

Thanks so much Princess Tiffany. I'll go check that out. I'm new to the boards, so don't know all the boards that are out there.

Thanks again,
Cindy

We had this done a few weeks ago when we were there. If you are looking for truly professional pictures, I don't recommend this. Especially since the price has increased to $75. We were able to get in on the lower price but we were disappointed with the pictures.

Sure, no problem!:thumbsup2

By the way, :welcome: to the DIS!

I know that you can have family portraits taken with different Disney backgrounds in Epcot. They do it by the exit of the "What If Labs" at Journey into Imagination.

They basically snap a digital photo of your family with a bright green background and then use a computer to insert the Disney background of your choice. They let you preview the photo and will re-shoot it if you don't like how it looks.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but thought it was worth a quick mention.

We got married at WDW in January and we used Randy Chapman as our photographer. He can take pics at the resorts, but not at the parks. Here's his website in case you're interested -- http://chapmanphotography.com/ There's also lots of threads about him on the wedding boards. We were very happy with him but we did wedding pics (not family portraits). HTH!
