I'm in the early stages of looking into the Disney Professional Internships and several of the ones I am interested in ask for a digital portfolo, but the requirements of the portfolio are rather vague. Does anyone know from experience what specific type of things they're looking for?

All it says is:

"Portfolio that demonstrates samples of writing and design work. No original art, digital portfolios or web-site links."

Should I make a specific project for this portfolio, or include random things that I have done in the past?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Include past work, If you give me a min I can help you more.
Ok I have to create one for my c.j class so this is what our teacher said
2. What should be included in the portfolio?

You will need to obtain the following supplies:

• A three-ring binder
• Dividers with labels
• Plastic sleeves

Make sure that the binder you use is new and of a good quality. Although a one-inch binder may be sufficient now, in time, you may have to increase the size of your binder.

Whatever tabbed dividers with labels you choose to use, make sure that the tabs are printed/typed (not handwritten), and extend beyond the edge of the plastic sleeves.

You are encouraged to use your own creativity in designing your portfolio, but keep it in the bounds of professional creativity. To avoid having a distracting, nonprofessional-looking portfolio, it is recommended that you limit your use of color to two complimentary colors. Also limit your typefaces to two per document. Remember – prospective employers will be viewing your portfolio and making judgments based on the work you are presenting to them.

Here is a list of the required components (each should be a tabbed section):
• Letter of introduction
• Table of contents
• Resume
• References
• Program Brochures
• Artifacts/Competencies Learned
• A career vision or mission statement
• Internships
• Additional training
• Volunteer activities
• Awards

You should update your portfolio, adding evidence of new skills (artifacts) and competencies as you go along with all your courses. You will also be adding to your portfolio once you become employed. You will be amazed when you apply for a promotion or a new job twenty years from now, how much training and expertise you have gained. You’ll be happy that you documented all of it in your portfolio and you will not have to search dusty files in hopes of finding evidence of classes that you had taken throughout your career.
