professional Family Photos?

Anyone know where i can get some Professional family photos done at disney world? If so what are the costs etc.

The Deluxe Resorts photo session.

It costs either $49 or $99, depending on the package for a 30 minute session at your choice of participating resorts. I am a bit early but going to phone to try and book in about half an hour so I can let you know what they say.

You can't actually book more than 30 days in advance and people successfully book while they are there. We looked into it last Easter (busy busy time!!!) and there was lots of availability but we had a jam packed itinerary and couldn't fit it in. You will be fine doing it now.

I just phoned but it was on answering machine and seemed a bit rude to leave an international number for a call back so I will try again in a while. My call went through to the Grand Floridian desk so I don't know if each resort has it's own number or if it is centralised.

Right peeps, here's the scoop.

I rang them several times and finally got through. In October they are shooting from 8 am to 5 pm. I booked 4.45 at the Poly. YOu are only meant to book 30 days out but it seems they don't stick too strictly to this.

They are very thorough. Checked where I was staying, made sure I know how to get there and where to go to find the desk, etc. They also take a phone no. so they can remind you the day before.

We had this done while staying at GF not long after they started it and the photos were in general amazing. They took about 80 and about 60 were good (ok most of the ones I didn't like had me in them). they took about 10 of DS on his own, 10 of DD, 10 of them together, 10 of DH & I, about another 10 of DH with DS, then with dd and then of me with the two children in turn and then the final 30 of the four of us. We still have four framed in our living room.

they even gave us advice on the colours that work and the colours that don't. We were told no whites,yellows or patterns from memory. We went for navy and blue so that dd who was 5 at the time could wear her Cinderella dress. They started inside the GF, went down the back stairs and took some of the children sitting in the window seat, outside by the beach and finally some in the carriage and vintage car at the front.

At the time they charged a set fee to put them all on a disk for you.

Tempted to do it again this year but at Poly prior to our Spirit of Aloha reservation but DH doesn't want to timetable too much - he's not got a hope in hell as we are on the dxdp.

We did this on the 12th August at GF, booked for late afternoon. We did the $99 dollar package, and have 79 on our CD not all are good but the majority are and the photographer worked really well with us, we had some as a family, some of DH and I on our own and the boys together and individually, I will get the CD out of the case (we only arrived home earlier today) and post some of them. It was well worth every penny or cent we also came away with 5 pictures printed out 2 10 x 8 and 3 6 x 4 and all the pictures on a photopass. I would recommend this to anyone who wants some informal family pictures taken

We are still trying to decide where to have the photo shoot done.
