I'm really sorry I brought up a subject that put some Dismembers in such a foul mood. :mad:
I guess the next step would be suggestions of where to wash your RV before getting to the fort.:dance3:
I hope everyone still has a great time at the fort!:)

No worries...:hug:. It was a question asked and answered. Some of us have strong opinions on the issue. pirate: Others like to troll and stir the pot.:stir:
Either way, it was a legit question.
I think suggestions of where to wash would be welcomed.:wizard: I did see one mentioned earlier in the thread.

Ya'll are pretty smart. Not really. I actually have been lurking around here for over 5 years. I got a user name recently when I bought my E-Ticket app for my iphone. See, we're going to FW this Friday and we're all kind of excited. The Amazing Detail phone number came from you folks - from a thread about a year ago. Back then, you all recommended them and I filed the info away into my iphone. Didn't mean to intrude. I just saw "Bless your heart" and had a good laugh. We all know that's southern for "you dumb sob". But thanks again for the warm welcome. I wasn't planning on getting my coach washed and waxed, but if you're going to be in the 800 loop next week, i might change my mind.

Hey, you forgot to put,
"nan-ner nan-ner nan-ner" at the end of your post.
Really,,could you be more childish ,,if your gonna be there I might change my mind,,nan-ner nan-ner nan-er :dance3:
What a assinine thing to say.

Remind me when I am in the fort to bring this...

Frank and Phyllis have seemed to run out on this thread already...:goodvibes

I never imagined such a service was available. I'm sure we'll stop somewhere before the Fort and wash ours.

Why do they have to use a pressure washer? What happened to good old fashioned manual labor? Get those guys up on ladders with sponges and soap and have them scrub the dirt and salt off. I don't think any neighbors would complain about that.

Frank, your my hero!!! next time were at the fort at the same time the boat, the bait, and the beer is on me!!! :thumbsup2

I think he could be classified as a "catfish".

In all seriousness, how do we stop these detailers. It is one of my only pet peeves about he fort. We frequent the fort a lot and maybe 1 out of every 5 times we go to a park. We go to just enjoy the fort. I know there are many issues that are pet peeves like the following:
* No discounts
* limited dining options
* timely check-in
* no Disney member looking at your loop preferance while checking in
* no golf cart supervision
* High priced sites
* river country (do I need to explain...lol)
* it can go on and on
But the pressure washers for me has to be the worst. How do we stop it?

Is there some way to print this thread and send it to Disney's Guest Relations Dept? It would definitely be good reading for them to see how most of the campers feel about this practice and how they could reap the benefits by building an area specifically for this.

I might join you. I have used and recommended the detailers at Disney. Heck I may have posted their number once or twice.They do a fantastic job and my Fiver needs detailing right now. I think I will make a reservation at the Fort and get it done...serioiusly! It really is in need of detailing and a trip to the Fort sounds like the ticket.:thumbsup2

They follow the pressure washer with a brush and soap. They really do a great job. It really is a beautiful thing to watch.

I have heard that Disney has people who scan Disney related web sites, don't know if it's true or not. Also I think we should let them know every time we visit and are bothered by these guys. A visit or call to the front desk on duty manager and an email to guest relations.

Maybe someone should start a hand washing RV business at The Fort.:thumbsup2

most of the campers feel about this practice

I am not sure you can jump to the that conclusion that "most campers" based upon the opinion of only a select few campers who visit this site. Based upon the number of Motorhomes and Trailers that get the service at Disney, I am sure the word "most" would be a stretch.

In any case, I think Disney needs to realize that there are those of us who are disturbed by this. Most of the time those incovenienced simply pack up for the day or go to the pool. They really ought to let the front desk know of their distaste for this practice.
