Products you can't find anymore

I used to buy Revlon Flex Shampoo & Conditioner. My hair smelled sooo good.
That would be a total blast from the past that I would love to smell! It didn't work great on my hair, but I liked the smell.

Speaking of shampoos, I loved the Banana line from The Body Shop but they also stopped carrying them. I also recently searched for the Olive Oil glossing line and I'm not sure they carry that any more, either. :headache:

I also miss the Original NY seltzer (from the 80's). My friend and I used to walk up to the party store with our allowance to buy them. They brought some back here but it wasn't the same.

Philadelphia Cheesecake flavored cream cheese, used to come in the re-closable container. Loved it on bagels. :thumbsup2

They have cheesecake filling but I am talking about cream cheese.

When I was young, in the seventies:scared1:, I loved getting some butterscotch flavored candy. They were balls, and melted in your mouth. They also had other flavors, but these were my favorite. I can't remember what they were called, and haven't seen them forever. Does anyone else remember them?

Are you sure they were butterscotch, and not caramel?

I was thinking they sound like Werther's Original...

Those are still around!

Wow what a walk down memory lane. Having grown up in the 80's i to recall alot of these products. What i find frustrating is when we vacation we fall in love with products but they dont have them here in Western Canada, yet they have them in Eastern Canada and the US.

I'm beginning to think all the products that they discontinue in that area comes here as we still have crispy m&ms, loaded baked potato pringles, raspberry gingerale, huggies presoaped washclothes for babies, bottlecaps candy, sourcream and bacon ruffles, sucrets, dunkaroos and banquet boil in a bag dinners :confused3

We have Rasp gingerale, crispy m&ms and dunkaroos too! Funny how it seems to be only some areas!

Starburst hard candy. Man, I loved those! I love hard candy, and I haven't seen these for years.

Restraunt items that I wish they would bring back.

McDonalds - McDLT. DH and I talk about these all the time. He liked them better than I did.

Taco Bell - I think it was called Taco Light??? Go back to the late 80's, early 90's. It was bigger than the regular taco, but it had a very light, crumply shell. Also when they did breakfast, they had a double bacon, egg and cheese burrito that was to die for. So much better than those burritos McD's serves.

Loved the McDLT. One of the healthier burgers they offered, which is of course, why it failed.
Ah, yes, the Taco Bell Border Light menu, the biggest marketing disaster in fast food industry. They surveyed customers, asked if they would like lower calorie versions of the regular menu items, and a bunch of people said yes. But when they got to the restaurants, they ignored the border light stuff and bought the full fat versions. Taco Bell lost $75 million dollars on that flop.

Taco Bell started a diet menu not long ago, they call it the fresco menu. It's not bad.

Oh my gosh, I didn't realize they're gone!

I miss the the super-awesome cups, mugs, and toys you used to get with a Happy Meal. My favorite was from around 1985 - the Happy Meal was packaged in a plastic bucket with a sand sifter lid and shovel. And I loved the glass Garfield mugs and Snoopy glasses.
ME TOO and I know Dad still has a few, there is a few in his house too.

When I was pg with my son I sent my poor husband all over the known universe (okay not really, but he pretty well covered the county) looking for Bottle Caps. Turns out they are only available at Halloween now. Too bad my son was a summer baby. I love those things.
I have movie size boxes right beside me. WAlmart, Meijer and movie places have em round these parts.

Mine are food items:
Sara Lee frozen cakes--they were single layer cakes that had about an inch of frosting on top. Yum.

frozen chocolate cream pie--I think it was Mrs. Smith's--that we used to eat when it was still frozen. So good.

Nabisco chocolate snaps. They came in a box that same size as animal crackers. They had a slight coconutty taste. I found them in a bag of "old fashioned cookies" that Nabisco sells now, but they are one of 3 or 4 types of cooky in the package, so it wasn't the same.

Also, does anyone remember the Clearly Canadian drinks? They were sold at 7 11 back in the 90's. They had a cool clear shaped bottle and came in flavors like cherry, lime and grape. It was a flavored seltzer I guess. I loved those!

Oh ya I used to have to stock our cooler thing at work with this stuff. I believe I can still find in these parts but bottles are plastic now.

I miss Clearly Canadian flavored water. Found it once at Big Lots and not after that. I should have stocked up when they had them.

I miss my geyser flavored water. IT was it a aqua blue bottle had a sports top and came in flavors like lemon, cherry lemonade, peach, a blackberry or something like that. I had heck of time finding it when I did. Found it at walgreens and a few gas stations, WAs prob later 90's early 2000 years as I know I'd stop and get a gas station on way to parents house. also royals or something like vthat made by mars/mm were like m+m but mint flavored and for that matter mint m+m's whicj i can only get at XMAS.

When I was a kid in the mid-70's, a rare breakfast treat was Carnation Instant Breakfast Bars.

They weren't anything like modern day breakfast pastries or granola bars. They tasted almost like a milk-shake.

Does anybody else remember those?

- Laura

Loved those. I wish they still made them! My DS16 eats a lot of Nutrigrain bars, but those carnation bars were so much better!

Not sure if it's been mentioned, as I didn't look through pages 2-19, but MAN I MISS bubble gum ice cream!!!! It was my favorite and I can't find it ANYWHERE!!!

I've looked all over South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota- can't find it! I may be the only adult who misses it, but I guess it's the kid in me! YUMMMM
