Products you can't find anymore

They have the chocolate chip kind at my Publix...almost bought a box yesterday!

Took me forever to rmemeber this product. Years ago there was a cereal that was a cookie, (Cookie Crisp) they had chocolate chip and a vanilla cookie, I always got the vanilla cookie one.

The commerical showed a wolf always trying to get the box of cereal away from the kids (ala Lucky Charms). The stores around here stopped carring the vanilla cook, but kept the chocolate chip for a while, now they don't even carry the chocolate chip anymore.

I miss Outragous shampoo by Revlon, it smelled sooooo good. Also OM perfume by the Gap. Waaahhhh, I miss that perfume, I got sooo many compliments whenever I wore it!

I love OM as well and actually found some at the Gap Outlet recently. They also had dream which I wear almost daily.

My dad used to love Mrs. Grass soup so I am going to look out for next time I am out. I know we got some not to long ago at a local discount chain.

There was a Mickey cereal I used to get when I would go to Florida, it had cereal stars with blue powder and blue marshmallows in disney shapes which all turned the milk blue. I wish this was still around :(

They use to have these fruit bars - they were all fruit (no ceral-type coating). They came in a variety of flavors and were rectangular and fit in this white paper sleeve...

Love those and wish I could remember what they were called...

Blueberry newtons, Brach's chocolate lovers chocolate covered cherries that had chocolate cream in the middle. My mom use to buy Old El Paso yellow corn taco shells in the can. You would have to fry them first. They stayed soft even after frying. Old El Paso discontinued them, because they weren't healthy.

Also, does anyone remember the Clearly Canadian drinks? They were sold at 7 11 back in the 90's. They had a cool clear shaped bottle and came in flavors like cherry, lime and grape. It was a flavored seltzer I guess. I loved those!

Yep, I loved those things. Up here they came in a light blue glass bottle. I used to have a bunch of them lined up across a window in kitchen to catch the light. :lmao: I love blue glass, so they were kinda double cool for me.

In the 80s it was New York Seltzer that we loved and got all the time. I like those kinda things so much better than regular soda pop.

That was not iodine....it was mercurochrome or mathialade...I KNOW those are not spelled correctly but close enough. One wouuld burn like crazy and the other one did not.

Tincture Merthiolate. My mother used to use that stupid little sick to put the reddish stuff on cuts and it would BURN so badly that she'd blow on it. So much for getting rid of the germs....:rotfl:

I think they pulled it because of the mercury in it.

Mentadent toothbrushes (Ok, so a google search of these brought up some on amazon.com, but they are not available locally)

Those were the best toothbrushes - I always got the "extra soft, compact head" - I was so upset when I couldn't find them any longer. Then a few years ago, I found them at my local dollar store. I bought them all - I think I got 17 of them. I don't know what I'll do when I finally go through them all. :sad2:

When I was a kid in the mid-70's, a rare breakfast treat was Carnation Instant Breakfast Bars.

They weren't anything like modern day breakfast pastries or granola bars. They tasted almost like a milk-shake.

Does anybody else remember those?

Milkshake candy bar.
I do not know why I crave them once in a while as they always seemed to taste a bit stale but I got them often when I was little.

Boil in Bag dinners. When I was younger and my parents worked nights, I had them all of the time. There was a beef and gravy one that I would pour over bread, and a chicken, cheese, and broccoli one that I loved!

There was also a chocolate candy bar that I loved. It was pretty thick, and kind of looked like malted milk when you bit into it. If I remember right, the bar was made into seperate brick like segments. But I could just be crazy on that one. I used to love them, whatever they were!

Lucky.

I live in what people would call a one horse town, takes forever to get new items in the local stores and if something is not real popular it disappears real quick.
