Product for mosquito bite scars? Tip for itchy bites

Can anyone recommend a product for reducing the discoloration from mosquito bite scars? I have a terrible reaction to them and even though I don't itch them, I am always left with ugly dark scars on my legs. I was in WDW last October and the spots are still pretty dark and ugly. I almost always use a repellent but the buggers always seem to catch me when I am vulnerable...

I have tried using Porcelana (?) for the past several months but this hasn't seemed to make a difference. FYI, I read this tip in a magazine article a few years ago and it really works. When you get a bite, to stop the itch, place a hot compress on the bite. It will stop the itching for hours. We are DVC so I have access to a microwave and stick a wet towel in there. I place it on the bite for a few seconds, I like it really hot. I can sleep thru the night without feeling itchy at all. Just in case you are wondering, I had the scarring problem before I started using the compress, so that isn't contributing to my scars!

yea! I've got one of those little misquito bite burners. It's a bit pinchy, but it gets really hot and burns the bite. They never itch again after I use it -- maybe it would help with the scaring too? I never got any markings from using it. I'm not sure what they're really called tho.

My dd's swell up pretty badly from bug bites we use benedry extra strength ich cream and I carry it with me at all times. It also helps reduce the swelling and the redness caused by ich. For the scarring have you tried mederma I don't know anything about the product you listed but it might be the same I know that mederma helps fade the scarring. You may also want to check out avon and see if they have anything that might work.
