I'm still unclear on how exactly I can look at the ingredients at a CS for food allergies. Do I just wait in line and ask the CM at the register for the binder or do I have to ask for a manager?

The CM at the register can give you the binder. They can also call for the manager. Once I mentioned allergies I was not allowed to order from the cashier, I had to wait for a manager.

We were there in Feb. Just ask any CM, the one at the register or one behind the counter where you pick up food. Tell them you need to speak to a manager regarding an allergy order. The manager didn't always have a binder with them, but in those cases I was usually ordering something that was pretty obviously safe. For example, we were looking for the allergy friendly chicken strips and fries from a dedicated fryer. If you're not comfortable with just talking through the order with them, don't hesitate to ask to see the ingredient binder. They're very nice and will be happy to show you the ingredients if you need to.

Ditto pp. Once you mention allergy, they will find a manager wether you want one or not. It can take a while sometimes too, so be patient and plan your meal times to avoid crowds if you can. Given the superb service I can't complain about the need to wait. You may want to go order by yourself, leaving the kids with DH.

Like everyone else said, you will need to wait for the manager. They are more than happy to show you the ingredient binder, you just have to ask for it usually.

I agree, it can take a while but it's worth it. Just remember that manager's are very well versed but even they don't always remember/know things. I had one manager at the ABC Commissary try to give me BBQ sauce that had wheat protein listed right in it. So, sometimes it's best to look at the ingredients yourself rather than just trusting the manager to know everything. I expect they receive so many allergy requests, that it might be hard to keep them all straight. They do an excellent job though!

Yes - I've noticed rather than hand you the binder they get a manager now. Of course you can still see the binder and sometimes the manager pulls it out.

I agree to try to plan an early or late lunch. I know it doesn't always work that way though! It seems whomever was behind us became hopelessly stuck in line while we went over things with a manager and there was just no way to make that better for them. Still it was faster than being handed that stupid 500 million page binder.
