Problems with Genie+ 7am reservations staying at Swan or Dolphin?

This was asked in November but no response on these boards. In a FB group I have seen it mentioned that Genie+ would not alllow some to make 7am reservations when they were booked at the Swan or Dolphin. My reservations are linked in MDE for the Dolphin in February, and I was able to book length of stay dining reservations. So I am hoping Genie will recognize that it’s legit to let me book rides through Genie + at 7am. Anyone on these boards had any issues doing this when staying at the Swan or Dolphin?

I had no issues with 7am reservations at Dolphin last week, but mid-stay our reservation dropped off mid-morning one day. I was alerted to it because I got a “we hope you enjoyed your stay” email from Disney as if I had checked out.

I had this happen to me in March. Not sure if it still applies, but I guess there are still some occasional problems from what I've noticed on the boards.

Zero problems this past summer. Right at 7 AM got what I wanted. Never booted off.

Some key reference points that have been noted.

The Swan Reserve seems to have the most issues as reported. Don't use the Bonvoy app to check-in if you can avoid it's ease of use as there have been more than a few reports that Bonvoy app check in appears linked to Reservations sometimes dropping from MDE.

You can also double check late each evening if you really want to make sure Disney does not forget your reservation in MDE.

Officially anyone can purchase Genie+ as of 12 AM so you could re-add your Confirmation number back into MDE any time before 7 AM. I keep my confirmation number in a Note app on my phone but I have never need to use it.

We had a Swan Reserve reservation over NYE
It was fine and did fall off one day
I didn't want to avoid using the app because I was using the app to enter the room. I did want to avoid the front desk and getting a key, etc.
It was easy to add the reservation back to MDE and then do the Genie stuff.

As said above, just make sure your reservation is linked in MDE and doesn’t fall off and you won’t have any trouble.

We just got back from the Swan and had no issues.

I can't remember which of these you have to be onsite for but we:
- Booked an ILL for Guardians of the Galaxy at a couple minutes after 7 am (we did NOT get into the VQ that morning but I think it's because I didn't confirm users ahead of time)
- Booked Genie+ and then LL for Slinky Dog Dash right at 7 am
- Booked an ILL for ROTR right at 7 am

We were at the Dolphin in the fall and had no trouble at all. I was super aware of the possibility of our reservations falling off MDE, but they never did. We booked Genie+ LLs as well as ILLs right at 7 for the entire week with no issues.

Did you happen to use the Bonvoy App for check-in? That is where we have seen the most reports.

Great question; we didn't! I wanted to speak face to face with the person who checked us in because I had an odd room request. I did use the app to book, though, but not for check-in.

Anyone with G+ can book at 7am even if offsite. ILL is the only thing you would have trouble with if your reservation isn’t properly linked.
