Problems with code from VMK Pin Series; Update: they fixed it!

I finally got around to entering some of my codes from the real life pin series that was shipped to me by WDW Mail Order in December. I entered a code for a Galleon Chair, Treasure chair, and 2 Firewalls with no problems. Then I entered the code for the lone (aka one and only one) Crow's Nest stool and post I had received. Again, no problem.

Then, I entered the code for the one and only Ship's Stern Chair I had gotten. And it gave me another Crow's Nest stool and post instead. :sad1: I sent the code into Contact Us, and it said I hadn't provided a 16 figure code with 3 dashes (I had). So, I sent a detailed explanation to Contact Us via the "None of the above" option.

I left the stool and post I shouldn't have gotten in my inventory and told them this, in the hopes that they will remove those two items and replace them with the chair I was supposed to get.

My question is, those of you who have had a similar problem-- has it ever been fixed? Has the wrong item(s) been removed and the right one(s) put in your inventory?

I sure hope so. I'm really disappointed right now. :sad1:
 
I had the exact same problem. I entered all the information on the contact us form, which included the code and the detailed information.

I then received an e-mail asking for the exact same information, which I did not respond to in the timeframe that VMK determined was fast enough. It was within three days, but I guess they wanted an answer back in less than that. When I responded, I was told that they had closed my ticket as being a non-issue.

I resubmitted the issue and it was never responded to. I am non to happy about it, but haven't had the strength to fight with them about it.

But, my guess is that nothing will happen.
 
Well, that's definitely not what I was hoping to hear, but thanks for the response, Dara. I hope they eventually fix it for you. Since we are paying money for these particular items, there is absolutely NO excuse for problems like this to not be fixed/properly addressed. I don't complain very much about anything Disney-related, but when we're shelling out money for these things and then there's something wrong, it ought to be fixed.

I'm extra upset because the pin boxes were an early Christmas gift from my mom (and fellow VMK player) to me, and now I can't even get the chair I wanted more than the other things. With shipping, I think she spent around$110 for 6 boxes. Now I realize more why I dreaded entering these codes... I had a feeling something would go wrong. I'm afraid to even try and enter the last of my codes (2 pirate couches, a bird hat, the pin, a Pirate Prison room, and another gold treasure chair). At the least, I won't be doing that for quite awhile. :sad2:
 
I had the very same thing happen with a code of mine - I will pm you each the contact phone number I have. You will most likely have to speak to an answering machine - but leave a message and someone should get back to you later the same day or the following day.

I was very satisfied with my outcome - I got the item I was supposed to have gotten, and was allowed to keep the item received in error.

Good Luck and look for that PM from me - will send in just a few short minutes.

I would go ahead and enter the rest of the codes you have before calling in case there are other issues.

My error code was supposed to be a ship stern chair and I received the bar stool and stick same as you - so it most likely is just that particular item that has the issues.

I also had a pirate stool code that just didnt work, I thought i was all alone

Anyone have a phone number I can call to find out where MY cards are at? Also, pleaseeeeeeee do not tell me that they mailed them out UPS :scared1: I just battled with UPS for 2 weeks to get a package delivered and I do not want to go through that again :mad:

Lyn, to find out what's up with your order, just call Mail Order (WDW or DL, depending on who you ordered it from). Although they too suffer from the "10 different answers from 10 different people" problem at times, generally they're very helpful and can give you at least some information on when to expect your order (they had told my mom the back order should be in in December and we should get the pins sometime then; we did).

I don't know if they come via UPS or not. The box just showed up on my porch one day, and once I saw it was from WDW, I was too busy trying to open it to read the rest of the label. :rotfl2:

Hi, I am sorry to bother you but could you send me a contact number also. I had the same problem with the codes.

somthing like that happend to me but i did not get my barstool
 
I hate to sound like I'm just jumping on the bandwagon but I had the exact same problem with one of my Stern Chairs... came up as a Stool w/stick. Stinks too because now I have a Bow without a Stern. I've e-mailed VMK about twice now with no response.

May I please have your phone number?
 
Our codes all worked properly. Our problem was that one of the badge pins did not have a code, instead it was a blank white space. :(

Yes they do come UPS just call disney they were able to track mine because I hought it took to long as well.

In December 2005 I got the cards for the Gold Ears from WDW that gave me a pin instead of the ears. I wrote to VMK and described the problem to them and include the code. I'm still waiting for them to fix it. LOL

I actually wrote to them over 27 times (I stopped counting at that point) and never got an answer to any of my emails, and no they didn't fix it.

I decided to check back in to VMK tonight and see if the situation had been fixed for me. Nope. No email either. Entered the last 6 of my codes, and they all worked at least.

So, phone call here I come tomorrow. :sad2:

Thanks but we went back to the park last year and I got another one, I put the code in the computer while I was at VMK Central to be use it worked this time. It just ticks me off that they never answered my emails to them, I paid hard cash at WDW to get the hat just to get the gold ear card.
