Problems converting Virgin Mastercard to Amex?

I decided to convert the Virgin card from Mastercard to Virgin - no points after December from the Mastercard and extra points until next summer on the Amex. So far most big places take amex so that ok BUT got statement and instead of several thousand points only 0.26. Customer services have a call out to marketing department but are beyond their 10 day 'range' for reply. Before I start chasing just wondered if anyone else had noticed a similar problem? And a Solution!!!!

My bill didn't have the points on ... it said they would be on next months statement.

Interesting - ive not had my bill yet but should receive it soon!

My bill didn't show the points but said they would be added to my account and would be shown on future statements. When I checked my Frequent Flyer account they had been credited.

My points have also been added - although it is hard to work out which bits they relate to! If the 5k bonus is included then I am short quite a few, if not then it is about right!
