Problems converting kodak playsport

My husband downloaded the sd card to the computer and burned a dvd. The problem is it won't play in our home dvd player. What are we doing wrong? TIA

Have you played other burned DVD's in your DVD player before? Not all are able to play them, I know my one DVD play that is about 7 years old won't read them.

Yeah, we have played other burned DVDs. Thanks though for the suggestion. I read something in a post about someone else having a problem. I did a search but can't find it.
