Problem with DVC decals....

My new car doesn't have a place up front for my DVC plate so I bought a DVC decal at WL earlier this week. Tried to put it on last night and it isn't a sticker like what my hubby already has (with a white background), but it is a clear window cling. (I didn't realize this cause it was on a white backing.) Problem is it doesn't show up on my tinted rear windows at all. So I moved it to the front window just to try it and again it barely showed up even there.

Have they quit selling the stickers cause the window clings don't work! Just a heads up! I really wanted to share with the world I was a DVC member! Oh, well!

I have had the same problem. I bought one In Jan on our trip and noone can see it.

For what it's worth, I bot one that was the "white background" (sticker) at conch flats last month, so at least that recently they still have them there.

I made a couple white oval BWV stickers at a site I learned about in a thread here on the disboards....www.makestickers.com. You do your own design online and they send them to you. It was easy and cheap.

I bought a sticker at OKW in Nov., so you should be able to get one there. I really wanted the cling one you've got and realized too late I'd gotten the wrong thing. If you can't find one, maybe we can work out a trade as I still haven't put the sticker on my car?

I forgot to purchase ours (with the white background) at OKW last August so my friend (also dvc members) purchased one for us at Hilton Head (Thanksgiving) in November. We cannot use the plate here in NY since we have plates in the front and back of our vehicles. The white sticker is great and held up well after our last snow storm.

FWIW...

I like using those magnetic decals that are sold, but I don't use them on the painted surfaces of the vehicle because of overheating the paint under it. So I use a little clear silicone (bathroom sealant) on the back and stick them to the rear windows (not in viewing area). They can be removed easily with a razor blade with little mess.

Try this on your DVC stickers.

Has anyone every seen a DVC magnetic bumper "sticker"? I have the magnetic "been there, done that, going back" on one side of my cars bumper, would love to have a DVC one on the other side to even it out!
I do have the front DVC plate on also.
