PROBLEM ADDING ANOTHER GUEST TO RESERVATION.

I had made all my reservations that I could get at the 180 day mark which was a nightmare with the online system. Anyway, I entered 6 guests instead of 7 for one of the days and can not get a reservation at all for an amended guest total. Is it possible to just show up and ask them to include the seventh person or do I make a reservation for 1? Problem with trying to get another reservation is it is telling me I already have a reservation. Or do I have to call? My family is driving me crazy with this one.

Don't just show up. They might still seat you, or they might refuse and charge you for six no-shows.

TRy making a reservation for one/two close to your current Time.
When you arrive, ask to be seated together.
Be willing to wait.

I would not count on them adding a person for you. It depends on the popularity of the restaurant but there’s a good chance they can’t help you. Then how do you decide which member of your group sits out? If at least some of you don’t go in and eat after being told the 7th can’t be added you can be charged the no show fee.

I would try to make a reservation for one. You need to set up a separate MDE to do so. It doesn’t even have to be linked to your tickets because once you are there they can look you up. I was helping a family member plan a trip last year and they couldn’t get a reservation for the whole party of 7 so we split them up into two groups and made a second MDE account. The intention was to make the MDE account for her mother and then link it to the tickets by adding her as a family member, but her mom never got around to doing it and it ended up not being a problem. When they got there they asked if they could be seated near each other and were accommodated. There is a chance this would lead to a longer wait but I think it’s worth knowing you can get in.

I've had this happen when one wants to join. I try to get an ADR for one at about the same time. Keep trying daily and use the free Touring Plans reservation finder. They come through for me every time!
