Hey there,

The only days we can go to MNSSHP is 28, 30 or 31 and from what I understand they will be packed!!!

We have "almost" decided to skip it but because I have already made 4 costumes we want to do something on halloween night.

Any suggestions please..... :confused3

I believe I read that there are some activities at Downtown Disney. Look on the "Events" page. Of course there is Universal...but I imagine all the teens and I just cringe! :rotfl: Unfortunately, you've put yourself in quite a predicament. :flower: I wonder if they have anything at the resorts on Halloween?

We went on Halloween night 2 years ago and walked on every ride with no wait. We went on the Haunted Mansion ride 6 times in a row!! It was an amazing night and the kids had so much fun trick or treating. The weather was warm at night as I was in shorts and a ss t-shirt. We are going again this year and will go on the 31st. :wave2:

we also went right before halloween a few years ago and practically walked on alot a rides. The only rides we had to wait for where the cars and Haunted mansion but after the 1st fireworks we rode a ton of rides that we didnt have to wait at all (small world, pooh, carosuel, plus a ton more)

We've been to MNSSHP twice now, once on Oct 31. Both times it was very busy, but there are so many extra things to do, that we didn't notice much wait for rides, esp. after 9:00 or so.

Many kids are going to the trick-or-treat lines, the *special* contests like bean-bag throwing for candy, face-painting, fortune-telling or folks are getting their *free* picture taken, etc. Lots of characters are out too. I know we rode Space Mountain and HM with no wait. Don't be surprised if your kids are too busy doing the extra events to even want to ride attractions.

It's pretty special to ride SM in your Halloween costume! And the characters in "their" Halloween costumes are a hoot! Try to stay away from Main street and you should be able to deal with the crowds. You will see thousands of folks dressed in every imaginable costume.

If you kids are little, have them take a good nap and don't go too early. The later it gets, the less crowded it is. I belive the park was open until midnight.

You can get a jump on the party by entering MK after 4:00pm with just your MNSSHP ticket. This year October 31 is on a Monday, the 28th & 30th might be more crowded.

But the "party" doesn't start until 7:00. We got to MK at 4:00 last year (10/29) and got to do some rides and things, then had dinner at the Castle at 5:30. When we finished dinner the park was then all decorated for the party. :)

On 10/29 last year MNSSHP was crowded but not unbearable. On Halloween night we went down to the Boardwalk. My kids were 9 and 7 at the time and this was perfect for them. They had lots of activities, a DJ, peformers on the boardwalk, etc. It was a fun night. And Mickey was there taking photos! :)
