Probably a long shot.... Los Angeles day tours question

Having never been west of Texas, I will be making my first DLR/Cali trip arly next year. Therefore, wanting to check out the touristy Los Angeles areas and will be doing a day tour. After scouring all the tours, I have narrowed down to:

Has anyone ever done one of these (or one similar to these)? Thoughts? I like these because they pick up in Anaheim

If you're trying to avoid driving in LA I understand, but you can do any of that with a rental car and then spend as much time as you like exploring each area. Personally I hate being on a time limit.
