I was wondering if anyone had any idea what the probability was of getting a 2 bedroom villa (1 bedroom if I had to) at the wilderness lodge 7 months out for an end of August weekday stay. I'm trying to stay at all the DVC properties and this will complete my tour until the new ones are built

My guess that it's probably a number less than 0.5.

I called at the end of March to get a reservation at AKV for 8/9 - 8/14. There was nothing available, but I could get a 1-BR at any other resort. I chose VWL, because like you, we want to stay at every resort. Sorry I can't comment about the 2-BR, as I didn't try for a 2-BR. Since it is around Labor Day, this may impact your reservations, though, so I would call right at 7 months and try to book.

We own at BCV. Last Fall we booked a 2BR at VWL for 8 nights for the end of August/beginning of September and had no problem getting it. I didn't even get to call right at the 7 month window because hubby is in the military and we usually don't know our plans more than 2 or 3 months in advance!

I know that was a year ago, and there are more members "fighting" for the smaller resorts, but I think you have a chance!

The second half of August generally sells out later than the first half - many schools in the southern states begin prior to Labor Day. So I think you have a pretty good chance of getting a 2 bedroom for late August at 7 months. Don't be afraid to waitlist (although I would recommend booking your home resort as a back up, just in case).
