Proactiv skin care solution

Has anyone used Proactiv? I am thinking about buying it for DD who has some minor acne and was wondering if it lives up to the hype. Thanks.

I just ordered it for my dd, a lot of her friends think it's great.

Another good choice is the Murad 30 day Skincare pack they have at Sephora.

It comes with a wash, toner, moisturizer and a spot cream.

Wal-Mart sells a kit that is similar to the components of Pro-Activ...only much less expensive. You might give that a try first.

I just tried this and am suffering with burnt skin as a result. Taking it back!!!

My DD just had occasional acne. She used the ProActive for about 6 months and was happy with it. But then she developed a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. She stopped using it, but her face has been red and blotchy since then.
If you decide to use it, be watching for any signs of irritation and stop using it. When DD saw the first signs, she thought it was acne and she should use the products more - wrong choice.

DS(17) had mild acne last year in his Junior year, so I ordered it and it worked for a while, but then it seemed like it was clogging his pores so he stopped. His face cleared up for the summer, but now it looks the worst it ever has. He got some medicine from his doctor, we all hope that works soon, he's miserable.
He's thinking about trying dermabrasion for acne if it doesn't get better soon.
Hope your DD likes the Proactive, it's worth a try!
