Private vow renewal at Disney Hotel (Moderate)

I am still trying to figure out a way to have a small (just my hubby, myslf and the 3 kids) at a vow renewal ceremony. I don't want music, champagne etc. I would love simple flowers for myself and my daughters and then dinner at Le Cellier (Hubbys favorite) and maybe a small cake. I just want us with a priest in casual clothing outside somewhere renewing our vows. I tried emailing the hotel (Port Orleans) to see if it was possible to have a priest come to the hotel and just let us stand somewhere quiet to do this. I want it to be very relaxed, casual clothing (kids and grownups in nice golf shorts and sun dresses) I dont want anything elaborate as my oldest son is a special needs child and he wouldnt be able to tolerate something inside and formal. Anyway that is not us, we are casual quiet people. I expalined I would be willing to pay a fee but I never heard back from them. Has anyone ever done anything like this? Can you only get married or renew vows at Disney if it is a "formal" type of wedding. Other option I have not looked into is we will be at Vero Beach for 2 days. I would really like to do it at Disney though as it is hubby and sons favorite place in the world!! Anyone have any ideas? Name of a person I could contact? Any help would be greatly appreciated. i believe the only way you can do something like this is with an intimate vow renewal with disney. you can have them outdoors in various locations!

if i'm incorrect, someone please let me know!

Sorry to tell you but the only way to get married or have a Vow Renewal at Disney, on their porperty, is by going through Disney FairyTale Weddings and booking through them. These Intimate packages whether booked from scratch or as an add-on can still be made informal but can only be at certain sites.

I don't want to freak you out but if they catch you having an "unauthorized" ceremony there, i believe they have the right to remove you from property.

BUT

They can't say anything about what you do inside your room. I have heard of people having "unauthorized" ceremonies, vRs etc, usually it's in a suite however.

I would call Guest Relations at Vero Beach directly, I'm sure they could do something really nice and simple, maybe on the walkway deck area down to the beach? I'm sure they have done some parties or events, and Guest Relations or the Concierge should be able to guide you...

Have you looked into the "Rehitching" ceremony at the Garden Grill in Epcot. This is deffinitelynot formal, but I'm afraid it may be a little less formal than what you actually would want. I think the rehitching ceremony is all in good fun, but I thought I would at least mention it! Maybe someone else who knows a little more about it can describe it better in detail.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful ideas. I am going to call Vero Beach directly and maybe they can so something and then we can do the re-hitching ceremony at Disney as the kids would get a big kick out of that!!! I am trying to surprise Hubby. I am going to steal his wedding band (he doesnt wear it all the time ...sports etc) We had the original date of our wedding in it and I want to have "Again and the date". Now I just have to pin down the date. Thanks again for all the ideas!!! I really appreciate them!
