Good Morning All

Have any of you ever done the Private Van with Driver in Falmouth? It's available through the ship (FA38), and I'm looking for any experiences/reviews you might have had.

Thanks!

I haven't done the DCL excursion offering, but we did a private van tour with Courtney Taylor Tours just last week and had a blast! A lot cheaper than Disney (it was $75 for me and my daughter, plus we paid our entrance fees to the various stops and tipped the driver) and we got to do what we wanted (Dunns River Falls, Blue Hole and some shopping). You can check out their website and reviews on trip advisor, but we really had a great time with them. Either way, you will love Jamaica!

Yes! That's why we want a driver, so we can do what we want :)
Does the company you used have a guarantee to get you back to the ship on time, or get you to the next port? I looked at shore trips dot com and they have that guarantee, but their stuff is more pricey than ship excursions.

I didn't look to see, tbh. We had plenty of time, and were on our own schedule, so when we were ready to go back, we went back. We spent a bit of time shopping right at the port before getting on the ship, and then had a good couple of hours to spare. I mean, I guess there could be some catastrophe or something that caused an issue with getting back, but I honestly wasn't really concerned. We left the ship as soon as we could that morning and met up, so had the whole day to do what we wanted to do. It was great! Definitely our best excursion, though I enjoyed the ones we did with DCL in Cozumel and Grand Cayman (despite the rain, even Mickey can't control that).

I would highly recommend going on tripadvisor, researching private tour companies and booking a private car and driver through a well-reviewed company. You will have a ton of flexibility and will save a lot of money. We did this for a 20 night B2B in the Magic last summer and are doing it again for our upcoming W. Caribbean on the Fantasy. We've never been disappointed and never missed the ship.

Edited to add: We are using Jamrock Journeys in Falmouth.
