I noticed when watching the Kilimanjaro safari tour that some guests were walking through the safari with closer up views of the animals?
I imagine it costs some money my son would LOVE this. Does anyone have info on it or done it before?

Based on the Disney website, I don't believe this tour is currently running. Many of the tours are not currently running.

Does anyone know what Disney's definition of 'Tween' is?

Since the minimum age requirement for this tour is 8 years old, I am assuming "tween" means 8 - 12 years old in Disney-speak.

Not running right now but a great experience that I hope they bring back.

We did it a couple of years ago. It's part walking (hippos and crocodiles) and riding on the Savannah. Difference on the savannah is that your bug will actually stop. The meal is in the building overlooking the savannah and the flamingo pool.

Far from inexpensive but we thought it was worth it.

I did the Wild Africa on my last trip which was a solo trip. It isn't private, but it is a very small group of people. If I recall there were 8 of us and we had 2 guides. One person acts as the guide and the other acts as a photographer. You get a copy of all of the pictures that are taken. It isn't cheap, but well worth it!

We loved it. My DD was 9 when we did it and she keeps asking me when we can do it again. The price included all the pictures taken, which was a huge number, a water bottle, and breakfast.

This was a birthday present for my 30th & the WAT was beyond worth the money. The views were amazing. The pictures you get are priceless. Lunch was good too lol - I’ll never get to go on an African Safari, in actual Africa, but this was an absolute disappointment once in a lifetime memory for me.

When I was there a couple of weeks ago I saw someone that looked like one of the leaders gathering a group together so it might be running again or that was an individual VIP trip. We did WAS a few years ago and loved it. It was worth the money.
