Going back and forth between full and premium. Last times we stayed in the 1500 loop and was able to get what we requested (next time will be with a hybrid). I know it is a total long shot... Between the 1600/1700 and the 1300/1400 loops what are some good sites with foliage between and maybe some good shade? Anything along the canal on the 1600/1700 loops? I'll even throw in the 300 loop for that. What about the 800?

We like to stay away from the main bus route stops. Playground a plus (hence the 1300 loop)

Again, I KNOW it's not a guaranty. Just like to look at the maps.

Thanks a bunch.

flash,

I will say that of all the loops you listed, the only one IMO that lacks shade is about a a bunch of sites in 1400. The ones nearest the campfire area don't have a lot of direct overhead sun blockage. Also IMO the sites in 1400 are kinda close together.

My choice would be the sites in the back of 800 loop. Nice sites but not near a playground though.

PS - there is a playground in front of 300 (which is a pet loop and nice and shaded but somewhat close together IMO) near the dog park. 500 is just across the road from it.

400 was nice and half were well shaded. We had 420, and good cover from a nice full oak overhead. What I didn't like was how close together the sites were. I agree with Ed that 500 looked good as far as the prox. to playground. It's a shot in the dark really, no loop appeared equally shaded and open. Another suggestion is including a request for "a good shade close to a playground" on your reservation. Not guarranteed, but it may certainly help.

Thanks... Yeah, that's what we are trying to stay away from...very close together sites.

I think some of the most private/large sites are in 1100 loop.
