After just about deciding I didn't want to see this, the Red Sox game had a rain delay so we turned it on. I loved it! This show has more sub plots than a Dickens' novel!

The acting is fantastic and main plot is very intregueing. It reminds me of 24 and the X-Files combined together.

Anyone else watch it and did you count your toes this morning? :faint:

I guess I missed the toe thing.

I got bored, did some stuff around the house and then shut it off with 20 minutes to go. I was really hoping I'd like it. Maybe if they replay, I will try again.

Me too. I hope that it lasts. It seems like new shows are getting canceled left and right these days. This is a good one.

And can I tell you, I have a new crush...

Wentworth Miller
Birthplace: England

Is mixed with African-America, Jamaican, English, German, French, Dutch, Syrian, and Lebanese. He graduated from Princeton with a degree in English literature.

Wow... Beautiful!!! :teeth:

I liked it too! And the main characters are easy on the eyes too. ;)

DH and I thought it was pretty good...at least it's something different. Lots of plot points that call for suspension of disbelief, but still entertaining. Looks like it will be a "Fugitive" scenario once they escape.

I'm hooked as well!!

I mentioned this on another thread -- the concept seems like a cross of Shawshank Redemption and The Fugitive. There seem to be enough subplots and plenty of intriguing characters to keep things interesting.

The toe -- watching that I was thinking "Oh no they aren't, the creep's bluffing, they wouldn't". They weren't, he wasn't, they did. :earseek:

I didn't think I'd watch . . .but decided to give it a shot . . .I was actually amazed that it held my attention . . .I like the plot and the suspense . . .and OMG I was covering my face with my shirt thinkin I'd see his toe come shooting off! :scared:

Both DH and I are hooked!

I had the blanket over my eyes and my hands over my ears!!!! My DS14 actually ran out of the room and DH sat there shaking his head saying "they didn't SHOW anything!!!"
Great show!!!
Just wondering how this is going to last for more then one season though. I hope they don't drag it out like they have done with Lost.

I've thought about this also. It's definitely seems like a concept that's close-ended, as opposed to something open-ended like CSI.

I figure they could get at least two, maybe three seasons. Thing is, I can see this show selling very well when released on DVD.

It was a weird show. It was kind of hard to follow. Did they actually cut off his toe? I missed the alst few minutes.

Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln, has beefed up a little since his "John Doe" days. Love the concept, though. I read an interview with the directors and producers, either in Entertainment Weekly or TV Guide, and they talked about what each of the characters will do in the second season if they get out –– they'll be fugitives, but those who escape will offer the show multiple storylines.

I have a bad feeling about Charles Westmorland's cat, though, after the toe thing. I hope nothing bad happens to his cat...

Me too. I hope nothing happens to it either. :guilty:

my dh and I thought it was AWFUL! and I'm pretty easy on shows. I understanding suspending belief but come on! a court judge, da and entire court system not figuring out that (a) a guy never did anything illegal in his life until (b) his brother is on death row and (c) he wants to go to the same prison that (d) he just happened to work on the design for? Come on! and then being able to get that HUGE tattoo done in such a short period of time? I could go on and on.

He, he... ya there were some stretches here and there. I'm use to these types of shows though. Been watching 24 for years now and I've yet to see Jack use the bathroom. :rotfl:

Thursday night.

I missed it! Was it only one episode that I missed so far? I LOVE 24 - so hopefully I'll like this one also.
