Priority seating?

If I want to eat lunch at one of the World Showcase restaurants, is it necessary to do Priority Seating? Or is PS really only necessary for dinner time hours? This would be in mid-May. Thanks.

Unless it's a holiday, I'd say no, it's not necessary. The planner in me would make a ps anyway. It provides structure
