Priority Seating Reservations

This will be my first time to WDW. Do you really need Priority Seating Reservations? Are there a lot of other places to eat that reservations are not needed?
Is getting the Dining Plan worth it?
Please Help!

I am using the dining plan and i made dinner ressies for all my table style meals. I would not chance not making ressies. There are some counter services that dont need ressies but if your family like sit down meals you need to make some.

We have been going to WDW for years now
and do it.
Last year we didn't do it for O'Hana's (big oooooooooooops) and instead of eating earlier*, we could only get near 9:00pm that's too late for us to be eating like this.

Saves alot of time/aggravation and it's FREE*
no cc required, if you decide not to go, you don't go, but at least you have a time for you/your family.

We used priority seating this last time we went and it was well worth it. We also used the dining plan and will never go back without it. If you like to have nice meals it pays off doing the dining plan.

One resteraunt that we really liked was La Celluir in Epcot located in Canada. The food was great and it's part of the dining plan.

One thing that I will do differently is to wait until the park hours come out before I book the seatings. If you like to eat around 5-6 it's best to book your meals in the parks that are open late on that particular night that way when you are done eating you can take advantage of the extra park hours.

Using the PS is time saving especially if you are interested in any of the character meals, but those little nicities. If you want any chance of eating at the Cinderella Royal Table make a reservation because the wait can be long. Some of them you can walk right in but for the very popular ones you really do need them. In 2004 we ate at Le Cellier (Canada) that I had made reservations; however the wait was so long that we still had to wait about 30 or 40 minutes before we were seated. Those without reservations were waiting much longer. Of course, if you are interested in the Spirit of Aloha, Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue you really should reserve early. We have never used the EMH but when we've gone to opposing parks rather than the ones staying open late, but they seem to not be as crowded.
