Priority Entrance Passes

I have been offered a number of Priority Entrance passes to use on my upcoming November trip. Does anyone know anything about these or how they work? I did a search but all I could see is that they're similar to Fastpasses but more instant...I'd especially like to know if there are any exclusions to what rides these can be used on so I can plan ahead!
